QuoteWhen asked this weekend to recall his jersey number with the taterskins, Manley answered, "7272"

Wait... are we sure he even knew his jersey number to begin with?

QuoteSo as I've been hooked on baby duty, a little of the computer gaming bug hit me, so, I've been researching and learning some of the games I want to buy or have bought. In doing so I've become what I once was. A newbie . I'm on forums well established with many members who know the topic, not at all different than ES. There are obvious regulars and clearly regular conversations. As a newbie, I don't really know what's been talked about and what hasn't.

But, as a veteran here, I know better than to jump right in and start posting. I do a search for "character class" which leads to "custom character" which leads to whatever. I seek out "tech tree" leading to "early game tips" leading to whatever. I'm a good member, you see .

Still, I see, daily, requests for the exact thing I've looked for and found dozens of times previously, and, I HATE to admit it, but, I'M GLAD to see it. The conversation seems live, fresh, meaningful to me, since I've not been there to see it the past 50 times. I always know these conversations because members express their frustration with newbies not searching the board first, despite being asked .

Yet, I know it feels good just to JUMP into the fray and get some interaction going. So, it got me to thinking. Is there room at ES for another forum -- maybe a sub of this forum -- designed for two kinds of users. One, the over-eager newbie who just wants to get the thing about Lavar Arrington he's stored up for months but hasn't expressed to fellow fans off his chest, AND, for KINDLY vets who know this is a repetitive post, but, who can kindly engage that conversation, or, helpfully link to other conversations.

No, this would not be a forced forum. It would simply be an area where those somewhat more tolerant of repetitive questions could answer them of those who really just need to ask them, even if we think they could use search. . Ultimately because it would be optional, my guess is it wouldn't work, but, I wonder if we utilized it and directed newbies who weren't interested in following the main forum more closely that the other forum was designed JUST for that kind of thing.

This is more thinking out loud than anything. An idea I can't quite complete or figure out exactly how to make it work, yet, think there MIGHT be some value for the newbies and vets in the constant battle between them and the constant view that one side or the other is special .

So, just let me know what you think. Is this a mildly interesting idea, or should we just leave it go as one of the more hairbrained ones we've considered?

What a loser.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

This thread has been silent too long.

In an effort to promote their bas-ass image, The Dead Tree Crew has put together a best hits video of them:

1) Spitting on a female Eagle fan's sneakers
2) Ganging up on single Eagle fans
3) Tipping over a porta-potty.
4) Stealing a hoagie-hat from a straggling fan

Never before, has a group of people deserved a fiery death more than this group of posing fargtards. I'm not even kidding.

On the days I just feel like caving someone's face in... I can only dream of wandering past those idiots.

I do think it would be a lovelything to behold to see a pile of Eagles fans descend upon their tailgate and beat the piss out of every last one of those Fairfax County wannabe tough guys.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

That rap was maybe one of the worst things that I have ever heard.  It was so bad it was hilarious.

I hate to say this, but i agree. I wish they would go root for Dallas.

Jesus Christ.

I hope they all die. I was hoping they'd be run over in the clip.

One shot to the Mayor's jaw and hes done.
