I think I actually understand the taterskins draft day logic
Draft weekend is in the spring, and it interferes with Dannyboy's golf game, would rather be out on one of the first nice days of the year than being cooped up in a room.
And Gibbs would rather be managing his Nascar team
thus, lets give away our draft picks and do something more constructive on a nice spring wekend

but WTF do I know,my team handed away a 1st round pick this year taking a DE that will never se the field due to our depth
I guess I picked a bad time to stop sniffing glue

Everyone, find 1 minute each day to pray for Eaglefan 73

I say we revoke Art's membership card for the human race. All in favor, point and laugh.

See above.

Let's break this down:

New England traded their 2nd (52nd overall) and 3rd (75th overall)
What did they get?
Number 36 overall.
Washington traded their 2nd (53rd overall), 6th ronder and 2nd rounder in 2007.
What did they get?
Number 35 overall.

Ummm...............yea?

Skins traded:
2nd round, No. 53 (370 points)
6th round, No. 189 (15 points)
2nd round, 2007 draft (=85th pick, 165 points)
TOTAL: 540 points

To the Jets for:
2nd round, No. 35 (550 points)

By the way, it's good to see the Eagles picking up some more "character guys" like Winston Justice. Too bad Fred Ex and TO aren't still around for him to play with. I guess there's still all you Eagle's fans at least.

MDS

how is next years 2nd rounder worth 165 points? and who really cares about the numbers.

the taterskins traded their 2nd rounder, a 6th rounder and next years 2nd rounder to move up 18 spots to draft some crappy linebacker. thats idiotic anyway you spin the numbers.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Silly skins fan... You didn't know that every single high-character players yearns deeply to play for Joe Gibbs?  For shame!  You're a disgrace to all skins fans!  Hell, even the winners like Sean Taylor obviously clean up their act as soon as they become members of your elite organization.  So, since you guys cornered the market on those types of "high character" players, we're forced to add young talent to our offensive line by drafting a guy who pointed a toy gun at someone once and bought a hooker (presumably not at the same time).

I highly doubt you, personally, could begrudge him the latter of the two.  I sure know Art couldn't.

ATV?

Isn't that what the great character guy Sean Taylor went pulling a gun out over? Some ATVs?

Sean Taylor...who is he? Mother farging Teresa?

Shut your jizz stained mouth about character guys, loser. Now beat it. Go read Art's articles about being touched by a coaching angel.

General_Failure

Show us on the doll where the angel touched you.

The man. The myth. The legend.

This is a joke, right? It has to be. LMFAO.

Winston Justice = college guy joking around with REPLICA gun. Knows he made a mistake, has been a model citizen since.

Sean Taylor = player in the NFL pointing REAL GUN. Facing many years of jail time. Also, arrested for DWI.

You might want to shut up right about now, asshat.

Sean Taylor was obviously framed.  No way a guy playing for Gibbs would do anything like that.

I think this incident occurred prior to being touched by the coaching angel. It will never happen again.

PhillyPhreak54

taterskins take:

Anthony Montgomery - DT - Minnesota

He cannow be touched by the Coaching Angel......

and Art's penis.

PoopyfaceMcGee

Montgomery was projected as a UDFA.  skins take him in the 5th round.

QuoteStrengths: Possesses good size and flashes the ability to hold ground when teams run at him. Uses hands fairly well and flashes the ability to shed blocks quickly. Is tall, has long arms and can get hands up in passing windows. Lost a considerable amount of weight during 2005 off-season and had strong senior season.

Weaknesses: Montgomery's potential is limited by his lack of explosiveness. Doesn't have very a quick first step and isn't going to make a lot of plays in the backfield. Lacks ideal upper body strength, doesn't deliver a violent punch and has problems maintaining separation from blockers. Doesn't have great range and isn't going to make many plays in pursuit. Lacks closing speed and doesn't show a variety of pass rush moves.

Overall: Montgomery has the size and athletic ability to develop into an adequate backup but he offers little as a pass rusher and needs to get stronger as a run defender.

So, on a good day, he's basically a poor man's Sam Rayburn.

Feva

So he "flashes" the ability to hold his ground, huh?

What a steal for the Skins!
