If someone were trampling all over something I used to love I'd probably be irked too. Not Chuck Bednarik level irked, but probably Fran Tarkenton level irked.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

lol trampling all over what?...the irony in that is tarkenton threw for like the second most interceptions in nfl history when he was hanging on at the same age farve is now

i dont think anyone is trampling over anything but if anyone honestly believes that is happening here then its the jets and vikings doing it....how one could be so upset at favre here is baffling to me...if you must get mad at someone get mad at the jets or vikings

its so funny to me that people think farve is being selfish towards the vikings...like farve did anything to minnesota that minnesota didnt allow him to

How can you not see how Favre is abusing the Vikings for his own selfish purposes?

Jesus, man...

ice grillin you

how can you not see that farve wouldnt even be allowed on the premises much less be their quarterback if the vikings hadnt called and offered him 10 million bucks to be there

vikings dont court him all summer hes retired for good this very second

Just because the Vikings are desperate doesn't mean Favre isn't being the same over-the-hill selfish d-bag he's been for the past five seasons.

It's pathetic, dude.

ice grillin you

what the hell is farve supposed to do...turn down the money cause he feels bad for tavaris jackson?

He's supposed to retire with his current millions and be happy about it with some dignity in tact. Or die screaming.

You being deliberately obtuse is expected, but in this instance, I think you actually believe what you're posting.

Hilarious.

ice grillin you

there are people who "should" retire in sports but no one is "supposed" to retire

you retire when one of two things happen

1. you feel like it

2. no one requires your services anymore

this is really simple stuff...i honestly dont know why so many people get so angry at all this...like hes the first athlete to ever unretire

He and Jordan and Lemieux should all have their knees smashed in.

favre was planning on signing with the vikings since march.  why else would he retire and then ask the jets to formally release him?  normally when a player retires, the team he retires from retains the rights to him until the end of the actual contract.  but this allowed favre the freedom to sign with minny and kept the jets from having to hand draft picks over to green bay.

the vikes and favre probably knew in may that he was going to play this year, they just did a very good job of keeping it under wraps until this week when they signed the paperwork.

Reggie White, O.J. Simpson, Dale Murphy, Gordie Howe... the list goes on and on.

Just farging go away you attention-whoring relics.

rjs246

I would drop Howe from the list simply because of how absurd the whole thing was. farging geriatrics.
