"You have your choice of quarterbacks for 2009... Mike Vick or Brett Favre.  Who do you take right now?"

Every person I've asked has gone with the dog killer.


Which begs the question - why the farg didn't Childress go after Vick?  He's a much better fit for that offense than Favre is right now.

i seriously would...hes not a qb period...and him trying to run an accuracy timing based pass 65% of the time offense would be a joke

his numbers are embarrassingly bad and even more than that he doesnt win...ive never seen anyone live off a single victory more than vick and that lambeau game...then you add in the fact that he hasnt taken a snap in two years?....no farging way

if youre going to argue numbers you have to keep somewhat of an open mind with this guy.

First off, the guy had hands down, without a doubt the worst receiving core in the league, yes worse than the eagles

Vick had an int rate of 3.4% which isn't really bad in comparison to other big time starting quarterbacks and his career interception rate is only 3.0%.  Carson Palmer, Kurt Warner, Eli Manning, Brett Favre, Tony Romo and Ben Roethlisberger all have career interception rates of over 3.0%. Big Ben and Romo both have interception rates of 3.5% and 3.6%. worse than Vick's 3.4% in 2006.

As far as his fumbles, from 2004-2006, Vick only fumbled 12 times while rushing the ball—the other 24 fumbles were the result of sacks. In comparison, Adrian Peterson  fumbled the ball 9 times while rushing the ball in just ONE season. Not to mention, among Vick's 9 rushing fumbles over his last 3 years, he only lost possession of the ball 4 times in those 3 years.

give him a full year, with his arm and with some legitimate targets that know how to run correct routes he could be just fine.

im not saying favre will be good...in fact i think hes done...especially with his injury...but its still not even close as to whos a better qb vick or him

vick has a completion % lower than rex grossmans has thrown for more than 2500 yards once and most importantly has only won more than 8 games in a season once....and all that was done in his "prime" before he spent two years out of football
