And now Scott is giving time updates like he;s Walter Cronkite telling us that JFK was dead.

"its now the bottom of the hour as breaking news comes across on ESPN, 12:30 eastern time"

ESPN is terrible.

I was shocked that they credited Jay Glazer, who broke the story for FOXSports. But as soon as ESPN's Michael Smith "confirmed" it, they changed it to ESPN's Michael Smith reports...

Aaaaaaaaaand here's Mort.

MDS

god i cant wait till he blows chunks and the ny media crucifies him. oh wait...
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Father Demon

Well thank GOD this is over with.

I can finally return to my normally pathetic life.
The drawback to marital longevity is your wife always knows when you're really interested in her and when you're just trying to bury it.

Help me...

I cannot turn ESPN off. I...just...can't...do...it.

This is so bad it's funny. They were even asking Mort how hard and challenging it was for him to cover this. They are talking about how it would have been if ATL didn't trade him. Highlight tapes like he died....goddamn. :-D

When I think of Brett Favre, I don't think of him as a Packer, and definitely not a Falcon or a Jet. Hell, I don't even think of him as a football player.

When I think of Brett Favre I think of a country boy with a flannel shirt, jeans, and big ol' cowboy boots. Just working that tractor on the farm. Mending fences with the hot sun beating down on him. Lugging fresh chopped wood on his big ol' pickup truck. Getting down and dirty in the mud, breaking a good ol' sweat. That's the life right there. That's Brett Favre.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

The BIGSTUD

lmfao... one of the compensation clauses is if the Jets trade him to the Vikings they owe the Packers 3 first round picks.

Damn... I was hoping that would happen.

it's a 4th but if he takes 50% or more of the snaps it turns into a 3rd, he takes 70% of the snaps and the Jets make the playoffs it's a 2nd, they make the Superbowl it becomes a 1st.

ANother year of listening to all Favre, all the time.

For the first time in a long time, I have an actual reason to hate the Jets.

This guy is an attention whore to the highest degree.

ESPN says that Pennington's time in NY is done.  He'll be traded or released by 4pm today.

He can go to Indy and compete with JLOAD for the #3 spot.

Even Steve Levy thought all the coverage was ridiculous last night.  A couple of times he referred to the show as "Favrecenter"...

btw looks like JetsShop.com crashed if you were hoping for a jersey  :P
