On the heels of a 23-0 loss to the Carolina Panters, some Giants players believe that receiver Plaxico Burress quit on the team during the embarrassing shutout in front of the home crowd.



"He was playing half-assed like a big Hoyda," we heard from one source.



It's not the first time the locker room sentiment was that Burress, a free-agent pickup from the Steelers, shut it down on the field.  In a loss to the taterskins a couple of weeks back, the thinking was that both Burress and tight end Jeremy Shockey gave up on the team.
