There is optimism, and unrealistic optimism. You shouldn't be optimistic without a reason or else you will be left disappointed. There is no reason to be. McNabb got blown up and is done. This team has no pass rush, no receivers, and is 4-5. It's OVA.

My reason is this, The team is the defending NFC champs, has been through tough times i.e. injuries and bad play before and pulled it together. Even if McMahon does come in to play who knows what they can do? THey is still hope in this divison and Conference the way it is.

This team isn't the same. Look at what this team has done uncharacteristically:

They are getting torched on defense, and letting people into the end zone, instead of holding them to field goals. Also they lost 3 games in a row and lost 3 prime time games in a row. When was the last time that happened? It's just not the same NFC Champs team. Even on paper this team isn't good enough to complete. Especially without HFA.

fun time at the chinese place on diamond just a few minutes ago:

there is two guys sitting there, both in jerseys. we just look at each other, shake our heads and put our heads back down. they end up telling me they went to the game and left with 3 minutes to go (obvious bandwagon fans). later in the chinese place, two black people start hitting each other and scream curses back and forth. then i tell this dude who stopped watching in the third what happened. he wasnt surpirsed. good times.
