If Feeley could make due with Pinkston, Thrash, and Duce, then McMahon should be able to do something with TO, Westbrook, and LJ.
More Mahe please.

I was in the get cut now crowd, and still think he shoulda.  My reasoning goes to the same place as RJS with TO getting hurt - if they had McMahon/Neckbeard in there, they'd run more, balancing the O.  Yeah, McNabb might not get back this season,  and would almost certainly come back too soon.  But they'd have a more balanced offense for him to manage, and would be much better off.

Too late now.

I agree completely with this post...and, agree, it's too late now, unless they completely shard the bed in the next 4-5 games and have no shot at winning the division. Then, they need to decide if it might be better to have the surgery at that point and give Donovan an extra two months to heal for 2006.

IMO Lito's head has swollen.  He seems to slow up on guys to 'bait' the QB into throwing the pass...only to not recover in time and make a play thus giving the opposing offense a big play.  I also think M. Lewis is having a down year.  If only the whole team would play like Dawkins, Trott, Sheldon, and Darwin Walker.

He did that all through college.

Walker has done very little since his injury, and Dawkins has been only average in pass coverage.

Purple_Hayz

I thought Walker looked great in the SD game but last week he was invisible.  I also agree on Dawkins.  He's been having an off year and frankly he's been playing like he did after he returned from his slight lis franc sprain a couple of years ago. :paranoid

Has anyone heard anything about Darwin Walker's injury status?
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Man, it's painful to watch Lito and Lewis getting burned. I know that they're better than they are playing, especially Lewis. This is the guy we were all singing praises about, watching him make hit after hit.  The whole team is on again off again. I just hope they get it together before playoff time rolles around. After all, it's only the seasons halfway point. There is still time, but I don't know if the team getting it together can compensate for McNabbs performance. It's plain to see he's hurtin'. Wether or not he should get surgery is a moot point now after the buy week has passed.

Now Cataldi says McNabb is not a leader, that he cannot audible and everything is his fault and the hernia is an excuse.

That is so much farging bullshtein that it makes me want to puke.

Phreak, maybe Reid will start running like he did in the second half last week.  Just keep giving Bwest the ball, he's got to break one sooner or later. Just like sooner or later it has to sink into Reid's concrete head that passing 70% of the time is not gonna' work with a hurt qb, or prolly' not even with a healthy one.

Man, I thought we were coming back until Dmac forced the throw to TO in the end zone. That was the end of it right there. The Bronco's are just too damn good right now and it's not the first time that Plummer has burned this team. He's a good qb on a real good team with a good coach, and he's playing the best he ever has his whole career. Hopefully we turn this thing around against our division opponents, starting with the taterskins.

Those people were idiots from the get go.

This coming from one of the main contributors to the "Fire Andy Reid" thread. ::)
If McNabb ain't runnin' he should get surgery. Yes, I know there are other problems, Lito sucks, no pass rush, running game, blah blah blah, but saying McNabb's inability to run ISN'T a problem is plain wrong. I've said it before, if McNabb continues to play like he's been playing the last few games (KC second half aside) the Eagles won't make the playoffs anyway, IMO. Therefore, he might as well go under the knife.

First of all I was talking mainly out of frustration. Secondly, if Andy does EXACTLY the same thing he's done the first 7 games then he doesn't deserve some type of punishment? That would basically mean he handed the division over to the Giants if he doesn't fix the problem. Will he fix the problems? I think he will, but if he continues to not run the ball then he has to be punished somehow.

By the way, I'm curious as to why everyone is so sure that McMahon can't do well. Haven't backup QBs always done well in here before? McMahon could start on some teams in this league(Ravens, Lions, Niners). He's not terrible. If the Eagles establish a running game then I think McMahon could lead this team to the playoffs. To a Superbowl though? Probably not. QBs like McMahon will usually get exposed in the playoffs against good teams.

yeah, well if the Eagles establish a running game with McNabb what do you think he would do?

WEST is GOD

The same thing, but that's not my point. I'm just curious as to why everyone is so 100% certain that if McMahon comes in you kiss the season goodbye.

I hate Angelo Farging Cataldi!

He is always trying to turn people against McNabb.
