okay...how are the eagles gonna stop this guy?  (and i'm talking about the pro bowl RB....not the coke sniffing former giants' LB.)

the chargers' wr don't really scare me so i'm thinking they'll scheme against LT & the run game...but of course they have gates too. :paranoid

Well, the last time they were able to stop him cold.  It's a little different this time since their team has improved some.  It's gonna be tough, but i think our secondary is far superior and they will clearly focus on LT and what he can do.  I expect it to be a close game...possibly even relying on Mr.  France.

There is no straight up stopping LT. The best the Eagles can do is get a lead early and increase it as the game goes on, forcing the Chargers to pass more.

Last time i recall Brees/LT messing up a handoff, dropping the ball, and Dawk taking it to the house after the recovery.\

i don't see it happening this week.  Just be sure to hit Breezy early and often.  Like they say, great players are gonna get theirs.  Make the rest of the team beat you.

I'm more worried about the friggin TE.

It's a good thing he's not a receiving threat.

I know. Can you imagine the trouble we could be in if their RB was multi-dimensional in any way?
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

Thankfully that's not the case, so our three world-class LBs should be able to contain a one-dimensional threat.

LT's line for Sunday:

19att 123 yds 1 TD
4rec 52 yds
1 fumble

LT's gonna have a field day on the Eagles just like he has on every other team.

Doesn't matter, though.  He'll get his two scores and 150 all-purpose yards and the Eagles will still win on Sunday.  And they'll win by at least two touchdowns.

This should be a statement game for the Eagles.

I'd like to think the Eagles can a least contain LT, this Defense needs to kick some serious ass after getting stomped by Dallas. The D-line has something to prove this game, come out and do some damage.

LT's gonna get his... there's not really any denying it.  The best you can hope for is that guys tackle really well and limit any second chance yards.  They've also gotta watch out for IMO, the baddest FB in the NFL, Lorenzo Neal.  He flat out blows people up.  We've got to swarm to LT.

So I figure we need to really get after Brees.  IMO, he's the weak link.  Under pressure, he'll give you a few chances at a pick.  Sad part is, who knows what kind of pressure the D-line is gonna be able to generate considering how zesty they've been lately.  If we can get a lead and put it all on Brees... I'm happy.

I figure Dawk will have a big responsibility in containing Gates (similar to facing Crumpler) since there's no way Dhani can come close to covering him.

We need to keep a close eye on Keenan McCardell though.  He's really underrated... and since he should see a lot of single coverage (I'm scared to death about Rod Hood against him), I hope he doesn't have a Terry Glenn type day.

If the D can get it done against these guys... my confidence in the D comes right back.

It is a must that the Eagles get a lead early and force the Bolts to go to the air.

And they protect Brees very well...he's only been sacked like 9 times all year.

14-0 1st or 21-3 t the half is imperitive.
