korver was guarding rip to start the game? :-D

and i found this quote on the yahoo game recap:

QuoteIverson looked and sounded frustrated midway through the third quarter.
He screamed at Andre Iguodala for not passing him the ball, then shouted, ``Hey!'' to his other teammates as Prince beat the Sixers back down the court for an easy dunk and a 65-50 lead midway through the third quarter.

nothing like some dissention in game 2. :paranoid

so far, Iggy looks lazy on defense
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

yup, its allens fault he and cwebb are the only two guys who can score.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

stop already.

did you like how your hero the point guard brought the ball down last night, early in the game, and had Iggy wide open for a 15 foot jumper but instead of setting up the offense hoisted up a 3 that barely hit the rim.

3 of the 5 starters are below average (if not horrible) defenders...that's a problem.

yea, hes my hero. definatley. but seriously, lets work it around and let korver headline the offense. and weve got to get james thomas and steven hunter involved. they are scoring machines.

this team isnt good. its not allens fault. or chris. they have no legit scoring option besides those two guys. look at the box from tuesday, i dont think anyone else was in double figures. and dont give me thats because those two take every shot. igy tried to improve his offensive game, but it doesnt appear it worked. korver is totally outmatched and out of his league being a starting 3 in nba game. any team can easily exploit his non-existent defense, and can make him beat the defender off the dibble as opposed to just chuckin shots from the outside. but hey, korver cant do that. hes a three point specialist. they play like 20 minutes a game. and come off the bench. this is mostly kings fault for having no depth on his team, and not having a plan b after willie green got hurt. i think theyll beat the bobcats though. and what an awsome win that could be.

ummm....ai & webber do take all the shots.
and the entire team had only 11 assists last night...no passing or working the ball around to the open man. :boo

last night is not the game to judge the team on...detroit is on another planet than the sixers...not to mention their rotation is really in a shambles without dalembert...

the milwaukee opener and charlotte tomorrow nite are more their speed...they are gonna get merked against the good teams hopefully split with the milwaukkes of the world and beat the bad teams

its also to early to judge their defense being that they are playing a brand new system and have yet to play with a full squad

i just hope iggy and dalemberts development doest get retarted by giving 90% of the shots to iverson and webber...then again webber will be hurt by new years and that will open up some shots to go around

Why I don't watch the NBA and barely even consider it basketball. The basketball I grew up watching was a team sport. This fiasco of a league is nothing resembling a team sport.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

you would have enjoyed last night then...detroit runs a passing clinic in general and especially when they play the sixers

The Pistons actually are one of the only teams I can handle watching. Not surprisingly they don't have any superstars.

Mad-Lad

It's funny hearing people trash Korver for his horrendous defense, then he gets benched and Iggy short-jumps an easy dunk while Steven Hunter gets a dunk blocked.  The offense (from what i could tell) looked completely lost and the entire team decided not to attempt to defend.  If Dalembert is going to be out for another couple weeks the Sixers could be digging a huge hole to climb out of.

the korver resigning/contract was inexcusable...like a mini version of the koncak deal...korver is a POS who will not even be in this league in three years...no one knew who he was last year...and the minute the league familiarized themselves with him he disappeared at the end of the season and in the playoffs

his offense may actually end up being worse than his defense if thats even possible
