I don't know if this was a "bible thumper" thing, though I know that there were probably a select few Christians trying to make a stink chasing every mention of Satan.

Personally, I was not offended over the the name at all.  I just thought it was a stupid name.  Shortening it to "Rays" isn't any better in my book.

By the way, Devil Rays can be huge.

Will this be the new symbol of the "Rays?"

I just remember a year or two ago hearing about some wackos bitching about the Devil word in there. And I hate whiners. But maybe they just wanted to change it? I don't know.
