I like this thread.  They sound worse than Skins fans.  I tried reasoning with the douche bags but there is no reasoning with them.

Waaaaaaaah!  It's all one big conspiracy.  :-D

QuoteCongratulations to all the high NFL officials, you did it. We're 0-3, your pitting us against the superbowl contestants and our toughest rival has set us at 0-3, you happy now? Did you accomplish your task of making sure we open up wth losses? Well big news, nobody cares! Randy Moss is still the number one receiver, he isn't upset or leaving like you probably expected him to, and we are certainly ready to beat our next opponents on the list. Our morale isn't very low, everyone is still in good spirits, and the team isn't falling apart. Thanks for accomplishing your task of trying to make us lose early, unfortunately we should win most of our next games, 11-5 isn't a very long shot if we play to our potential.

At the hits just keep on coming.  This is too funny.  :-D

Now they are bitching about McNabb's spike to stop the clock for the game winning field goal.  What's their beef you say?  It should have been ruled a fumble.  :-D  :-D  :-D  :-D

At least you showed varayder and didn't offer any/many  ;) excuses. Anyways:

- I was reading on your board and Collins was getting bashed. I thought he played a decent game. He didn't throw any picks and made some good throws. Don't know where that hostility was coming from. (Not to mention we have an all-pro secondary)
- Offensive pass protection was superb. Collins had all day to throw the ball.
- Woodson's good but doesn't have much help in the secondary. He did decent when matched up with TO, certainly didn't 'shut him down (or up)' by any means. Westbrook smoked him on that long pass in single coverage.  8)
- I was expecting more from Lamont Jordan. He looked good in the flat and on those swing passes, though. I was a bit surprised to see him lined up as a wideout as much as he was.

Sad but Collins gets bashed every week.He had all day to throw but our run blocking was HORRIBLE- I credit your def though they are stout!
Woodson is our only DB worth a shtein (and he will be gne next year)
We better draft some D

I do have a serious question (I have not reads through all the other threads so if it has been discussed already excuse me and just point me to the right thread)  but how in the hell can Reid go into that game without legit back up kicker knowing full well Akers was gimpy going in?

Because Akers was kicking pain free and fully loaded on Friday and Saturday practices and during the pregame. He was fine.

Clearly he wasn't fine, but merely appeared fine.  I don't believe for a second these two injuries aren't connected.  And planning for every contingency is the HC's job, and he didn't do it.
Anyone but Reid.

Did you see McNabb's reaction to that spike?  I think he thought it might be a fumble, too, he seemed to start to run after it as soon as he threw it, like it slipped out of his hand.  It looked fine to me though.

It was close and either way McNabb would have recovered it.  Would have pushed the FG attempt 5 yards back and Akers still would have hit...he could have hit that FG from another 10-15 yrds back IMO.

he had enough leg, but if he was 10-15 yards back that kick either hits the goal post or goes wide

Both wrong.  Had that been a fumble, it would've gone to OT.  Not enough time for Akers to limp out there and kick.

Who cares. Game over.

you're right, why ever talk about anything that happened in the previous game, that's just silly.

I really don't care whether McNabb almost fumbled at the end of the game or not. I care a lot more about whether he is going to be able to plant on his f'ed-up-shin leg, twist his body with his sports hernia and take a hit/complete a pass with his f'ed up sternum. There are a lot of more important things to discuss than what might have happened if maybe McNabb had fumbled at the end of the game that they ended up winning.

Again, there is no doctor saying its a sports hernia. Just Glazer.

The pack of ice that was stuffed down his crotch during the Niners game and I are pretty tight. It told me off the record that it is a sports hernia.
