wow, they may not have won, but daggumit, C-Wood had a big hit, that's just as good as a win when you are 0-2.
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

As zesty a team the Raiders are, even with a drunk fat polish sausage for a kicker, you squeeked out a win. Good job winning 23-20 to a team you guys say sucks. Shows a lot about your team.

But I won't be a complete idiot.
-Eagles run defense was pretty much what I expected, actually better. JT is a monster.
-Yes yes you couldn't kick off well, doesn't matter though if we start at the 30 or the 45, we didn't move the ball anyway when we needed to.
- Ifs and buts, if LJ didn't fumble the game woulda been a blow out. If Polish sausage could have made the FGs we would have won the game. If the Raiders didn't give up any points we woulda won.  All the if's and buts, and who cares. I will say one thing though, we forced that fumble on LJ smith. You didn't force anything on our idiot kicker. Just plain mistakes. Our D played well and forced turnovers. But with the way our offense was, our D played way to long, they definately got tired.
- You guys should be in the superbowl this year. Your D is ridiculously good. We couldn't get it to Moss when we needed to if our life depended on it.
- Regardless, i'm sure you people on the board will still say the Raiders suck but i guess i should get used to it.
- Oh if you don't give Westbrook a contract..... big mistake?

Anyhow, the Raiders will finish 10-6 or better. Thats a fact.

Even with an injured QB and kicker (replaced by linebacker and a long-snapper), the Eagles still managed to win. Good teams find a way to win tough games. Sucky ones find ways to lose them.

General_Failure

It's a shame they don't give points for knocking TO around. The NFL should take a look at that for next year.

The man. The myth. The legend.

WEST is GOD

When TO took a huge shot, he hung on to the ball. When Moss took a lot weaker hit, he dropped the ball.
THIS SEASON IS OVER AND ANDY'S WORLD IS GRIDL

Offseason needs: 2 DEs, 1 DT, 1 OL, 2 LBs, 1 RB, 2 WRs, 1 TE, 1 KR.

I don't think he was saying the Raiders suck.... he was saying you guys think they do.... he was guaranteeing 10-6 ... which I will not do...however our schedule gets MUCH easier now, wothout having to play the both superbowl teams on the road. So our outlook to win gets much better form here on out.

I do have a serious question (I have not reads through all the other threads so if it has been discussed already excuse me and just point me to the right thread)  but how in the hell can Reid go into that game without legit back up kicker knowing full well Akers was gimpy going in?

I think a lot of people are asking the exact same question.  In Reid's defense though the guy was kicking well during the week and right up to the game.

Sure he did.  He started his post by saying it.  "Zesty" is a board filter for "sh*tty".  ;)

Your guess is as good as mine.  A lot of us have been questioning/bitching about the same thing.  A kicker was signed but didn't dress.  Now Akers is going to be on the shelf for at least 3 weeks, possibly 6 so hopefully the offense is able to put enough points on the board over the next few games that it doesn't come down to field goals.

Even though all week long Akers had been kicking without any problems I still think the smart move would have been to err on the side of caution.  I'd much rather have gone without Akers for 1 game instead of 3 to 6.  But that's the reality the Eagles are faced with and Reid's going to have to deal with the consequences if this team end up losing a game or two because of the kicker.

Because Akers was kicking pain free and fully loaded on Friday and Saturday practices and during the pregame. He was fine.

Well by Fri/Sat/Pregame... seems it would be a little late to sign someone anyway.
Good luck the rest of the way and Please beat the hell out of the Chefs next week in their house!

At least you showed varayder and didn't offer any/many  ;) excuses. Anyways:

- I was reading on your board and Collins was getting bashed. I thought he played a decent game. He didn't throw any picks and made some good throws. Don't know where that hostility was coming from. (Not to mention we have an all-pro secondary)
- Offensive pass protection was superb. Collins had all day to throw the ball.
- Woodson's good but doesn't have much help in the secondary. He did decent when matched up with TO, certainly didn't 'shut him down (or up)' by any means. Westbrook smoked him on that long pass in single coverage.  8)
- I was expecting more from Lamont Jordan. He looked good in the flat and on those swing passes, though. I was a bit surprised to see him lined up as a wideout as much as he was.

At least you're man enough to come back.  I respect that.  There's a couple of niner fans I'm still looking for :-D

Agree with SD, I also thought Collins played fine.  The birds were not blitzing much as they were keeping extra bodies back to prevent the long ball.  Considering how many guys we had back in the secondary he did good. Collins is unfairly being criticized.  Pass protection was awesome.  Gallery handled Kearse with no problem.

I have to admit the Raiders do not look or play even close to an 0-3 team.   They could easily turn this season around - shtein they sure have a brutal schedule though.

Beat Dallas, Giants and the Skins for us!  We'll help you out with KC, Denver and San Diego.

Good luck!
