Mahe can't be on the Practice Squad. He either makes the team or gets cut outright.

I thought the rule was that a player cannot log more than 2 consecutive years on the same team's practice squad at the same position.

Are you saying that if a player has made a team outright during the previous year, then he cannot be put on that team's P.S. the next one?

To be eligible for the practice squad, a player must have less than one full season in the league but a one year player is still eligible if he was inactive on game day for more than nine games during his season. You can only be on the practice squad two years. Teams are  free to sign players from other teams' practice squad, but to their active roster only
