im not saying nitty cant do it...tho im highly skepitcal...but the olympic performance is being way overblown...its a totally different game over there....and i think his performance there has little to nothing to do with how he will perform in the playoffs for the flyers...you dont magically become a stanley cup goaltender in three weeks

now theres a chance he is one this year but its not because of what happened in turin

That might be the worst nickname ever. I already hate the fact that the people in hockey and players add a "y" to the end of everyone's name. Hockey nicknames annoy me. Great sport, terrible nicknames.

Tkachuk has nothing left, which means Clarke will trade prospects and draft picks for him....

Rumor (idea?) floating around on another board:

Umberger, Matt Ellison, 1st round and both 2nd round picks in 2006 to Phoenix

Shane Doan and either Derek Morris (if he passes a physical) or Denis Gauthier + a draft pick back (if he doesn't pass) to Philly

He's not a bad player....I saw Ellison Friday night and he actually scored a goal. The player the Flyers got from Phoenix back in nov/dec is huge McCleod. He's 6'6 and a beast when he's out there.

If Clarke does pull the trigger for Doan +, these guys better be able to skate! Flyers have looked slow the past month or so. However, Umberger has a strong future, so Clarke better be right!
