I loved how Reggie Brown ran away from Sean "Ronald McDonald" Taylor (nice socks, douche).

What happened to All-World Big Sean on that one?

Sean can only run the 4.4 40 when he's being chased by someone with a bigger gun.

Gregg Williams said they audibled on the line to go to man coverage but Springs couldn't hear the call on the sideline so he let Brown go as if he was playing zone.  That play wasn't Taylor's fault.  He did make some poor tackles yesterday though.

A Skins fan in a turtleneck slapped me last night.  yes, it was a dude.  He's lucky I actually wanted to watch the game.  But the other 100 Eagles fans in my sction and I made the game a miserable experience for him, having to look over his back every minute, hoping not to get punched.  You should have heard us laughing when he slapped me.

says:

"First of all... you don't slap a man!  Aiiight?!  Even back in the day, when slappin' was fashionable... it'd be like 'whapow!  I challenge you to a duel.'  Aiiight... THEY'D HAVE A GUN FIGHT AFTER THAT!"

Two days later, I think the bottom line is that the Eagles and taterskins played about as even a game as can be played, and the breaks (Thrash's fumble, Cooley's fumble, Lewis' "non" catch) all went the taterskins way.  It's fine with me for 2 reasons, and 2 reasons alone:

1.  The taterskins were at home.  I'd expect those breaks to fall our way in our house.

2.  The only reason those things mattered was because the Eagles matched up about evenly with the farging taterskins.  If, at the midway point through the season, the Eagles prove they are only about as good as the taterskins, there's no Super Bowl XL in our future anyway.  Winning and losing becomes unimportant.

Either way, let's just say I'm not laughing at the taterskins for now.  They aren't very good, but neither are we.

I don't know about that.

The reason I disagree is that every team they have played except Philly has a winning record and yet they are still 5-3.  What's more, Philly is .500 so they have not played a single team with a losing record.  They also have two wins against teams that are leading their divisions.

According to Sagarin they have played the fourth hardest schedule so far and have two wins against top 10 teams and three against top 16 teams.  This team can compete well with the best teams in the league on a consistent basis, they ARE good.

Your definition of "good" is skewed from your many recent years of fielding garbage teams.

If by "good" you mean not necessarily bottom of the barrel but still nowhere near good enough to win the Super Bowl this year... then yeah, you're good.
