At least he recognizes that the QBs look like shtein.

But until they do it against more than Kyle Orton...I'll wait to judge. I know Gregg Williams' group is good but if a veteran QB and/or potent offense was playing them today they lose.

9-7? I see that Gibbs has turned that Offense around. :P

But... but... but they held the mighty Bears offense to seven points!

PhillyPhreak54

John Hall is hurt and Gibbs said they need another kicker.

Sign Jimmy Kibble!

MDS

Hall is hurt every year.

There are gonna be some awful kickers in the NFC East. The Cowboys use Jose Cortez.  :-D
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

PhillyPhreak54

Damn...a thread on the ExtremeSkins site says that Jansen broke his other thumb today too. That sucks for them. He's their best OL. If he is out for any time then they'll have to plug Ray Brown back in there.

Did you see they lined Sean Taylor up at WR?

MDS

Yea  :-D Thats really gonna help them score more points.

He was playing.

QuoteIn reading this column by La Canfora, I find myself torn as to what I'm seeing. I find no flaw with the premise of his column. Presumably the Post realizing the potency this board has is trying to marry up well with my vastly powerful words, and Jason's column echos my comments after the game and during that we are a team far too prone to self-defeating issues than we ought to be if we expect any real success.

This is not the first time the Post has had to copy me for guidance in producing work and I credit them for so closely trying to be me. The problem is, they CAN'T be me . You see, I'm a fan. I can write the column above and not raise any eyebrows. Wilbon can write this column and not raise any eyebrows. La Canfora is a beat reporter for the Washington taterskins. The team is his beat.

It is HIGHLY unusual from a journalistic standpoint to see a beat reporter branching out to provide opinions in the form of a column. The Washington Post is seriously threatened by this board and what the team is doing -- which is true -- and/or they have simply forgotten basic journalism rules.

You can not have a beat reporter offering opinions and analysis. A beat reporter must detach himself from the team and report facts. This column could have been done in the proper manner, but, La Canfora didn't. I'm just not sure what he and the Post are thinking. This is a pet peeve of mine. I've always had a problem with Paul Woody doing the same thing even within game articles.

Some part of this being allowed by the Post is to respond to the fact they are being beaten silly by the team in releasing the news about the team. And, given they read here all the time -- enough even to know my "rambling" posts aren't as good as my columns  -- it is pretty clear they are trying to bridge the "fan" gap by taking our thoughts and packaging them as their own.

Even if this isn't true, I'm going to stick with it .

Again, I have no problem with the words. I do think they are better left to a columnist or better written as a news story if the beat writer is doing it. In fact, this could be a very good news story given the resonance it would have with Gibbs. It just irks me to see the Post allowing this sort of unprofessional thing from a beat writer. Worse, I like Jason a lot, but, as a beat reporter he should be ethically more sound than he appears to be and refuse to write a column on the beat he covers.

He may aspire to do columns. But, you don't write them on your beat. It destroys your credibility as a beat reporter. And Jason actually HAD credibility left. Nunyo has become a profile writer since he lost his credibility .

:-D :-D :-D

Art is hilarious.

That guy's got his head shoved pretty far up that ass of his.

WEST is GOD

I went to sleep at 7 am and woke up at 12 excited for football. This game almost put me back to sleep. I thought maybe I could get a good laugh out of the game, but they were so bad it was just depressing. What is even more pathetic is that they won. The Bears are even worse. The Bears had this game, if they didn't get 3 false starts in a row though.
THIS SEASON IS OVER AND ANDY'S WORLD IS GRIDL

Offseason needs: 2 DEs, 1 DT, 1 OL, 2 LBs, 1 RB, 2 WRs, 1 TE, 1 KR.

PhillyPhreak54

I can't believe my eyes...

Skins fans are pissed at Saint Joe!

Even a few of them say he should be fired if he benches Patrick Ramsey for Mark Brunell.

Honestly it doesn't matter which one plays because they're going to eat ass either way. But it looks like the Sainthood is wearing off for Mr. NASCAR.
