but teams like Baltimore and Carolina have recently had sucess with strong defenses and mediocre offenses.

There in lies the problem.  The Skins still don't even have a mediocre offense!  A mediocre offense would be a freaking improvement of epic proportions.

You do realize that during Carolina's one year of stardom that they had a very good offense as well.  Not Colts good, but good none the less.  They could pass and run the ball with consistancy.  They had big play capability with Smith and Muhammed and a nice running game with Davis and Foster.  The Skins could only dream of having an offense like that.  And incase you forgot the Panthers offense absolutely shredded a dominating Patriots defense in the Super Bowl.  Hell, even when the Ravens won the SB they had an offense that could move the chains.  They weren't a flashy offense they were efficient.

The Skins have struggled the last 2 weeks against mediocre defenses to put points on the board.  It took them over 7 quarters before they found the endzone for the first time this year and they've been having a hard time finding it since.  Hell, they had 2 weeks to prepare for Seattle and still couldn't figure out how to score on them.  What was Gibbs doing the whole time?  Playing bridge getting high on fiber?

not that i disagree with you that our offense has lots of room to improve but i have to say the skins played a seahawk defense that through 3 games was number 1 on 3rd downs.  They got slapped with skins converting 13 first downs and getting something like 130 yards on those 3rd downs.  that was the number 1 3rd down defense

We scored 20 points against the Hawks, the NFL average points scored per game is 19.74, I'd say we are atleast mediocre. You don't consider our running game as nice? We average 136 yds/game on the ground and the Iggles average 76 yards on the ground. What does that make the the Eagles running game, Pop Warner? We have more rushing yards than the Iggles and you have played 1 more game than us. Our average total offense is 340 yards per game, yours is 432. Again, I said our offense was mediocre, not great. I think 340 yards could be considered as average, you?

and to say that we didn't play good defenses.  BEars cowboys and seahawks are all above average.  the weakest i feel are the boys but no way the bears and seahawks are not above average

I'm just glad that noodle-arm is playing well, it'll make it that much more difficult for Gibbs to pull him when he throws those 20-yard ducks come November and December.  :-D
More Mahe please.

How 'bout the vaunted Joe Gibbs running attack gaining 3.9 ypc?

Or the fact that your team has ZERO rushing TDs?

But then again, TDs are a rare occurance in Washington. Right?

Eagles almost outscore your team in one game.

37 points for Eagles in 1 game
43 points for Washington in 4 games

Stop confusing the situation with facts. They're gooder than all, they is they is!
