I was watching ESPN NFL countdown or whatever the show is called, and they said Freddie Mitchell is close to being cut by the Chiefs.

Not good enough to play WR for the Chiefs. AFL, here comes Freddie!

The man. The myth. The legend.

They joked that we would resign him.  :)

Sorry about posting in the wrong forum.  I thougth Freddie Mitchell's history of being a jack ass with the Eagles was enough to justify it on the other forum.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

TexasEagle

Maybe if he spent more time at practice and less time giving interviews about the Eagles he'd have a better chance to make the team.

I hope he gets in somewhere like New Orleans or Cleveland.  What a bum!

I hope he comes back. We need a stud receiver to replace TO if he decides to be a.
THIS SEASON IS OVER AND ANDY'S WORLD IS GRIDL

Offseason needs: 2 DEs, 1 DT, 1 OL, 2 LBs, 1 RB, 2 WRs, 1 TE, 1 KR.

Sure, the Chiefs cut stud receivers all the time.

He's nursing a knee injury so if you don't show what you got - good luck.

QuoteFreddie is a Little Quieter, But Not Much

River Falls, Wis. 2:10 p.m.

Freddie Mitchell, out right now with a torn knee meniscus, is missing eastern Pennsylvania right about now.

"I miss those 10,000 fans a day, the energy in that camp,'' he says, on the couch in the players' dorm at Chiefs camp. He is a Chief now, but he has Eagle envy. He really misses it at the Eagles' Bethlehem, Pa., site.

He thinks several things.

One, he is sad for Todd Pinkston, because Pinkston was a blue-collar guy who could take the slights of the offense, as Mitchell did during the Eagles' recent run of greatness.

Two, he thinks Donovan McNabb and Terrell Owens were never really that close. "I hate to break it to you, Peter,'' he says. "But so much of what athletes say, 90 to 95 percent, is all BS. They're saying the politically correct things.'' He says that because I told him when I spoke to McNabb and Owens together last year in training camp, McNabb was defending all the dumb things Owens has done over the years, like a good teammate would.

Three, he thinks the long toll of players being underpaid there (his opinion) is finally coming home to roost.

"I am not a revenge person,'' he says. "I hope they win. I have so many friends there and I want them to win. But it's going to be tough with everything that's going on now.''

Just my opinion: I think Mitchell's giving me some more of that 90 percent. Deep down, he wants the Eagles to miss him, and he wants his absence to cost them

Does this guy ever talk about the Chiefs? You know, the team he's trying to make the roster of.
