I don't think that he'll match last year's numbers and based on his career numbers it would be silly to assume that he will be able to duplicate them.

Your kiddin' right? Your must have forgot about Jeff Garcia, the guy he put up most of his stats with. IMO, he does better than last year if he plays all 16 games.

For all of the shtein that Garcia gets, he was a good QB. Donovan is better, but saying that TO thrived inspite of Garcia is ridiculous.

QuoteIn the opening segments of practice, Owens loped through skeleton plays, primarily aligned in the left or right slots, taking every other snap off. Then he worked a while with trainer Rick Burkholder, off the side, stretching with a big, green inflated ball. After that, a "team" drill, in which he snagged his first pass of the day (at precisely 9:13), but not until it ricocheted off his chest before Owens grabbed it out of the air on the rebound. At 9:38, McNabb whipped a strike between defenders to Owens in the left-hook zone. And at 9:45, the two hooked up on a bullet over the middle.

Unbelievably gay that he wrote this.

Garcia sucks. McNabb is 10 times the qb that flag is. And I didin't say TO thrived inspite of Garcia, but he thrives because of McNabb, and will continue to do so this year if he ends up playing all year long. It's kinda' rediculous to think otherwise.

And no, I'm not sorry if I offended any gay people.

TO will not catch 14 TDs this year. I've given my reasoning for this repeatedly in one of the numerous other threads dedicated to this topic.

If he plays all year long he gets more than last years 1200 yds., I'd say he does around 1500, and you might think I'm rediculous to say that he just might get more than 14 TD's. Look at the other recievers on this team. All good young players, yes, but not experianced. Greg Lewis is a seasoned veteran compared to every reciever except TO. Who's number do you think will be called more? TO had 77 receptions last year without playing the last two games of the season. He gets more this year, which I feel translates into higher stats.

My predictions:
1400 plus yds.
100 plus recepts.
14 td's is a lot for anyone playing 14 or 16 games. This is the one stat you could say he might not improve on, but that would mean more TD's for another player. Still, I'll say for the sake of debate that he betters that stat also.

I just don't see how you can feel he won't better last years stats when he didn't even play all the games. And Pinky is out this year also. The door is wide open for him to have a career year.

Irregardless, I can't wait for this season to end (with a SuperBowl victory), and this dumbass to be off this team. Farg Owens. Hard.

It's simple really.

Inexperienced WRs. Plus TO coming off a monster year. That equals even more attention than he already gets. (The beginning of last year was when TO did most of his damage, especially touchdowns-wise. Why? Because the common belief was that AR would still spread the ball around evenly and TO woule be a huge upgrade but wouldn't dominate our offense. Oops, so much for that idea. But what happened late in the season? Teams like the skins basically just blanketed him and let the rest of the O do their thing... we struggled mightily in that game.) He'll get more attention b/c no one will respect the other WRs. AR, if he's got a brain in his head, will take advantage of that.

And don't discount all of this drama having an effect on his output. TO will work hard on the field b/c his ego won't let him do anything else, but what about #5's outlook on things? What about AR using the extra attention on TO to his advantage?

TO will have a good year if he plays for us b/c he's a really good WR. But don't espect what you saw last year.

Look if everything is peachy, they play as well or better than last year, and he(& Donovan) are healthy. He won't approach 14 tds. They will still rest him when blow-outs occur and when we lock up playoff standings. He won't get gratuitous numbers. Reid doesn't cater to fantasy owners and stat monkeys. Our schedule is fairly easy considering we went to the Bowl. NFC west and afc West plus our division doesn't strike me as hard-core competition....Yes this is slightly confident, but why wouldn't I be? \m/  :cfhead NFC Ownage
