He did seem very prepared.  Enough so, that I got the sense he had a cheat sheet of the questions.  Then again, it's the same stuff he's been hearing for about forever, seemingly.

banner is a GREAT business man...and like all great business men hes also a little rat...that letter was part a shot at TO and part CYA...anything banner says in a TV interview should be taken as 95% complete and utter BS

as for the gb wr's..am i the only person who doesnt think theres a chance in hell that gb would help out a conference rival at their weakest position??

The Packers are stacked at WR and thin at Defensive Tackle.  What's so surprising about the fact that both teams could actually help each other by trading spare parts?

Also - you really need to get off of Banner's dick, dude.  He's a brilliant man and is roundly respected as a tough negotiator and an astute financial analyst.  You should be thankful for having him on the Eagles team, not busting his fargin chops every chance you get.

What did they keep calling Robert Redd? Even on the graphic with the WRs and how many balls they had caught in the past year, they had it like Justin Judd or some shtein like that? LIke they got Justin Jenkins and Robert Redd combined into some other name?

Also, when putting up the Pro-Bowlers from last year, they left off Michael Lewis.  ::)

Didn't they leave off Simon as well? I thought he went last year.

In any setting when you plan to Fire someone you need to make sure your "Ducks" are in order so that you can defer any legal actions to a paper trail.  They are setting the parameters of his suspension if he doesnt comply.

It seems to me that T.O. is slightly retarded and needs even the most basic instructions explained to him repeatedly.

Therefore, when Banner laid out the expectations of the team with respect to T.O.'s behavior and demeanor, everything had to be spelled out precisely for T.O. so that there's no chance of any misinterpretation on T.O.'s part.

Plus, I think they were laying the law down for Rosenhaus as well so that that little spooge-guzzling shyster has no recourse but to accept the terms of the deal T.O. intitially signed.

In the Marines we are required to document any problems with our subordinates before giving them bad reviews, write them up etc.  It's to show a documented history of problems and the actions taken to attempt to correct those problems.  That way when you write a Marine up or give him bad performace evaluations there is documentation there to support it.

The Eagles are basically doing the same thing.  They have laid down the law and explained to TO in plain English what is and isn't acceptable behavior.  This way if TO crosses the line again they can suspend him or hand out whatever punishment they feel is necessary and TO wouldn't be able to fight it.  He's already acknowledged reciept of the letter so unlike the changes in filing for free agency, he can't claim that he never got it.  Too bad he hired Rosenhaus.  If he still had Joseph they could use that excuse and everyone would believe it.  :paranoid

We do something like that where I work too. Lots of ex military here I guess. It's called a PIP or process improvement plan. So not only are you written up, you are given a plan to correct your behavior. I think all of this is along those lines. These types of things generally only work with adults I'm afraid....

He said the Eagles are better on the field with T.O. than they are without him.  Fact.

He said the Eagles sent the letter so that no ambiguities would remain with respect to how the team expects Owens to act.  Fact.

He also said that they hope T.O. comes to his senses, rejoins the team, and helps put them over the top by winning a Super Bowl.  Fact.

Where is he lying in those three sentences?  It seems to me that your hatred of Banner is an irrational one, IGY, and furthermore, it seems as though that hatred is based on something other than Banner's business acumen.

Care to share what that hatred might be based on?   :sly

:D That type of letter is a standard & integral part of implementing any corrective action plan when an employee violates rules or doesn't meet expectations. Anyone who thinks it's part of some other secret agenda has issues.

Will anyone in the world actually buy that shtein?
