latest from WIP: 3 suspects, 15-17 years old. approached McDougle and tried to get money from him as he stood outside of his car. he didnt give in to their demands and shots were fired and/or exchanged

new update- McDougle was in his car when he was shot by one of the suspects, he got out of the car and they shot at him 2 more times, missing him and hitting the car. So far it looks like he didnt have a gun etc.

As MURP said (and espn news), the latest police report says that there were THREE shots fired at him...only one hit. He was trying to get out of the car after being shot the first time, and one of the kids fired twice more at him, but missed and hit his door. Thank God....Doogs would be dead right now.

This is a complete nightmare. Even though he hasn't shown to be the PLAYER that JB was...I still had such an AWFUL feeling when I heard this news...the same feeling I Had when I heard about JB's accident (before I heard he was dead).

PS...the official police report lists NO SIGN of a gun for Doogs. Where that nonsense is even coming from, I have no idea.

Does it matter? He could have had it legally. If he did not, does it show some character flaw or lack of intelligence? Are people worried that McDougle will be charged with some crime?

Ala Sean Taylor, FLA has minimum jail sentences for illegally pointing and/or shooting at people. I think that's the concern. Even if he had a gun, sounds like he could claim self-defense in this instance.
