true, but what does anyone expect from the 7th LB anyway?  I certainly dont expect him to be much more than a special teams stud, which Short is.

He's desperate.  Shows up to TC with the rookies:

He's one of the injured players who has to show up...

Hopefully he'll get beat out.

At this point, I want Sim to get beat out for his sake as well as ours.  He's a good guy and can be an effective player.  It just isn't meant to be in Philly.

I'm still curious about the LB corps and what will happen.

WLB:  Adams/McCoy
MLB:  Trot / Labinjo
SLB:  Jones/Richmond

misc:  Short

Should Greg Richmond continue to battle injuries, we could go with only 6 LBs and put him on the PS or we could keep Sim.  Maybe Labinjo would get some reps as the backup SAM.  Or maybe Martin Patterson is able to play his way into a job.  And then there is David Bergeron.  He projects as a SAM in our system.  Lots of possibilities.

I am also curious as to how the LB situation will work out...Spads hinted that they could go with 6 LB's this year...

And I think if Richmond still has the herniated disc problems, he could go on the IR.  I know JJ likes him a lot. And they kept Jamaal Jackson around for 2 years despite him battling injuries, so I could see Greg hanging around.

Perhaps they'll go with 6 LB's and 6 DE's instead of 5? But if they go with 6 LB's then the backups will be very young an inexperienced...

Trotter
Jones
Adams
McCoy
Short
Labinjo

Would they go with those 6 and cut Sims? I doubt it.

Yeah I dont see how Ritchmond can make the active roster with his back injury.

Dear Displaced:

I hereby cede the field.

That is all.

;)

Hayze you are a man of honor.

Had a lot of fun with this topic.  You're still the man though.

I still lke Sims as a situational player though.  Make him a pass rush specialist in the red zone or something like that.  Alas his contract may be too big wigh younger, cheaper guys coming along.

Purple_Hayz

I'm not a Sims hata either but with Keith Adams stepping up as big as he did when Stubby was injured, Labinjo looking so damned promising and McCoy being drafted in the second round Simoneau is definitely on the bubble at best.  But hey, nothing like a heaping fresh pile of crow!

Mmmmmm MMMMMMMMM bitch! :D

I don't want anybody else
When I think about you I cut myself

No way man... no Crow for you as the Soup Nazi would say.

By the simple fact that you came back to the subject earns you a pass on the black bird.

TexasEagle

Was listening to Eagles Live today and JJ was saying that Adams is tops on the depth chart. Hard to see Sims taking that.

Eaglez

The way that Adams played at the end of last season and the good reports out of camp of his performance currently makes it hard see way he wouldn't be first on the depth chart.
