Is Ryan Howard the 1st base minor league prospect?

Isn't Placido Polanco a suck-ass?

I like Duaner, but you can have my high blood pressure that comes along with seeing him pitch.

Oh great....he's one of those?  We already have Terry Adams and Tim Worrell for that...   :boom

Howard...yep.  He's been awful since his callup though.

Polanco is decent but not a star.  He wants out badly and says he'd love to play 3rd there (even though playing 3rd here is awful and unacceptable  ::)  :poison )...

Can't start over a true leader and professional like David Bell. No sir.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

I don't know if that trade idea was the rumor we were hearing out here a couple of days ago....supposedly we're after two of your minor leaguers....one is the top prospect(1st baseman)....who is in no time soon, going to supplant Jim thome.....so....that's the one I heard...this one sounds a little different.

A trade idea from a Phillies beat writer today:

Placido Polanco and Ryan Howard to LA for Duaner Sanchez and Andy LaRoche

I don't know anything about Howard, but I do know contrary to what HB inferred that I would like to keep Sanchez around.  Sanchez has struggled a bit this season, but he is a good young pitcher.  He throws fastballs in the 92-97 range, and has some good stuff in regards to offspeed pitches.  He pitched very well last season, and I think he'll get on track.
Last year Sanchez gave us 67 games pitched, 80 innings, with a 3.38 ERA as a 6th-7th inning guy.
This year he has a 3.24 ERA but has struggled in some games giving up inherited runners.
When we get Gagne back, Sanchez will play a more comfortable role for him, back into the 6th-7th inning.

As for Brazoban, just imagine how good things will be if Gagne can come back healthy, be the old Gagne.  I mean your looking at almost a 7 inning game for the opposing offense, because if they go into the last 2 innings behind, those two guys will shut the door.

Well that series was frustrating, but expected I suppose.  We have the Braves, Marlins, Angels, and Giants coming up next.  For once in a long time I will be happy to see the Giants, only because we can beat their azzes after what could be an ugly home stand against top teams.

:'( That was beautiful last night.  :'(

Went to the game last night....it was nice kicking the ass of the D-Train. Nice to see us show up against him. Now....enter Beckett.  :paranoid

The Phils smacked Beckett around earlier this year.  If you catch him on a bad day, he's beatable, but if he's "on" after 2 innings, you're in trouble.  Hope for blisters...

2-4 at home vs the Braves and Marlins.  Thanks for nothing...  :P

:-\ :boom What can we say, the Dodgers are in a funk, and unless they can get healthy, and then stay healthy this could get ugly.

Healthy meaning getting Gagne completely healthy, Odalis Perez healthy, Jason Werth healthy, Antonio Perez (3rd baseman answer) healthy, and getting the starting pitching's heads out their asses. farg!  :-D
