I recently saw "Across the Universe". I really thought it was outstanding.

Gran Torino was very, very good.

"Canadian Bacon" is one of the funniest movies ever!
Alert, alert. Look well at the rainbow. The fish will be running very soon.

Running Scared was worse than i even thought possible

Benjamin Button: 6/10

The movie is 3 hours long, which I thought was about 30 minutes too much. I can enjoy a long movie, and I very much prefer them to 90 minute flicks, but my ass started to hurt from sitting down. Brad Pitt was pretty damn good and the story was great. It sort of dragged at times and was sort of Forest Gumpish in the sense that he does a lot of shtein like Mr. Gump did.

Vantage Point: 1/10

Terrible.

SunMo

ha, i tried to watch Vantage Point last night too, so farging bad.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall - pretty good, funny at parts, predictable

Baby Mama - boring, not funny, boo Tina Fey, fell asleep

Burn After Reading: Meh. It had the goofball humor that the Coen brothers excel at, but none of the fantastic dialog that you expect out of them. Also, they are normally VERY good at using a minimal effort to get their audience to understand and relate to their characters and that was completely missing from this. It was funny at times and worth watching but not up to their standards and I think there was just too much going on for me to find anything to actually care about.

The Lookout: I really enjoyed this. It was formulaic and the outcome was predictable but it was well acted and Isla Fisher is smoking hot as always and it far exceeded my expectations.

Yeah, really.  When the hell did the dude from 3rd rock from the Sun become such a good actor?

Please tell me you're not talking about the Billy Crystal/Gregory Hines version because that might be the best buddy/cop movie ever.
