I wish you would be great as the dead bosy in the "Stand By Me" remake.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

I watched John Rambo the other night.  Definately a great way to finish out.  The best part was him rocking the .50, I think that I might have even sported some wood at that moment.  It was definately a gunners wet dream.  I recommend it for any Rambo fans.

Just caught Michael Clayton on the On Demand...

Very good movie. Clooney was great and the movie kept me interested from start to finish. I can't really find anything negative about the film at all.

8/10

Vantage Point. Wow

1:30 of straight action...get involved

That movie really strikes me as being too clever by half.  Which means its a muddled mess that takes itself too seriously.  Could be wrong, but...
Anyone but Reid.

Wife and I were going to go see it last night, but decided on buying some wine and getting drunk instead.

Wife and I were going to go see it last night, but decided on staying at home and watching a Lifetime movie and falling asleep at 9 PM instead.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Wife and I were going to go see it last night, but I had to stay home and read all the replies on CF because apparently half the users learned how to edit quotes.

Finally got around to watching Idiocracy. Some people made too much of it, I think. It was a good movie, and an on-point commentary about America, but I think it went a little too far over the top for its own good.

3/5

The man. The myth. The legend.

Watched King Rat (1965) - This was an excellent, dark look at Life in a japanese prisoner camp in WWII.
Great performances, great atmosphere, unflinching look at life's realities. George Segal from back in the day when he was a real actor. I really want to read the book now.

Finally got around to watching American Gangster.  I got it from Netflix on Saturday but didn't have time to watch it over the weekend.  So I burned a copy of it Sunday night, mailed the original back Monday and watched it last night.

Overall I thought it was a good movie but at the same time, I didn't feel like there was anything that set this one apart from other gangster films.  He started off small, got big, got married, got shot at, got busted.  I was kind of confused at the end though when one minute Lucas was in jail and the next minute he's actually working with Robbins.

4/5 for the acting.
3/5 for the story.
3.5/5 overall.

*Slight Spoiler*
Is there any doubt at all that Frank Lucas paid a shteinload of money to Robbins?  This cleared up my confusion in the last few minutes of the film.

Finished watching There Will Be Blood, very strange movie.
