Anyone seen a good movie lately?

It would be tough with this movie because it isn't about much of anything (similar to many independent films).

Little girl is in a beauty pageant. Family needs to get her there. Family is completely farged up from top to bottom. Road trip. Hilarity ensues.

I figured as much, similar to Napolean Dynamite.  If someone were to ask you what the movie is about you'd have a hard time explaining it without making it sound like the worst movie ever made.

The BIGSTUD

I saw Unleashed last night night and thought it was okay. There wasn't enough Jet Li ass-kicking for my liking, and the story got a bit sappy at times. Also sometimes it was just flat out weird.

7.4/10

I'm going to be watching Two For the Money and Fantastic Four in the next few days. I tried watching Syriana and simply couldn't get into it. I might finish that eventually.

I fell asleep 15 minutes in to "Scary Movie 4" last night.

It was an awful 15 minutes, but to be fair, I should probably admit that I hadn't slept at all for 40 hours when we popped in the DVD.

Am I the only person in America that has not seen one of the "Scary Movies?"

Don't worry about it.  It's like being the only person in America who hasn't contracted AIDS.

The first one was funny. The rest were awful.

Agreed.  They progressively went downhill after the first one.  Although the 2nd one did have some individually hilarious moments mixed in among the suckage.

I thought the 2nd one had its moments. Mainly the guy with the hand and the guy in the wheelchair going back and forth. The And1 commercial type scene cracks me up to.

Has anyone seen World Trade Center? I went back like 10 pages and didn't see anyone mention it..

I liked it. The "script" was cheezy, but since it was based on a true story and what was probably really said, I don't think you can expect it to be all professional sounding. Men who are burried and about to die don't spit out 10 minute speaches all the time.

Anyway, it was really good, kinda scary to see what it was like down there near the towers when all that was going on. Gets real claustrophobic, which is probably what they were going for, so you could feel kinda like how they felt. The girlfriend basically didn't stop crying after the first half hour of it.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Scary Movie 2 is on Comedy Central right now.

Barely worth watching, and even less worth watching when edited.

I never saw them.  The only thing worse cinematically than bad horror movies is bad parodies of horror movies.

The BIGSTUD

Scary Movie 3's moment with Jeremy Piven was funny. Other than that the movie sucked.

But I got a thing for Anna Faris so I'll watch the Scary Movies.

yep, while you were sitting in the movie theater you probably felt exactly like them.
