All in all, it was a good movie but I thought it started off weak/inaccurate and progressively got stronger.  In fact, the beginning of the movie was farging whack as hell and almost entirely fictional with the exception of everyone's name.

Dre and Yella were already established with World Class Wrecking Crew when NWA formed.  The movie made a minor mention of Cube's involvement with CIA, but made it seem like they were still amateur, when in fact, they all had record deals before coming together as NWA.

Eazy's White Sox hat was definitely wrong for the period.  That style didn't come out until like 92ish.  So was Yella's Dodgers basketball jersey.  You could get a jersey, but you weren't getting a baseball team on a basketball style jersey.  And the material was shiny as farg too.  No way in hell that was an 80s jawn.  And the jerseys you could get back then weren't "authentic" looking at all like Dre's was.

Yeah I'd have to go back and rewatch bc I didn't pay that close attention to it when I saw it a couple months ago

The Sox started wearing the current version in 1990

Apparel back then was tough to find. If memory is correct the jerseys didn't get really good until 1992ish

ice grillin you

I have no idea what you all are talking about in terms of quality....the jerseys were perfectly fine back then....I still own many

I think you are confusing the popularity of wearing them...rocking jerseys in the hip hop community didn't blow up until 92-83 but the jerseys themselves werent any better

shtein I used to go to center city in the 80's hit up funk o mart for beats then Mitchell and ness and igoldberg for gear

i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

ive seen your jerseys from back in the day....dem jawns aint the same quality of today
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

nothing has changed....if anything replicas are worse now

I think you are talking about the Mitchell n ness craze and comparing those to replicas

of course a 300 dollar Mitchell n ness is going to be better than a Forman mills replica but a replica today is worse than a replica in the 80's

You're wrong

Replicas today are much better in fabric quality

ice grillin you

no they aren't...I literally have multiple replicas from the 80's and the 2000's in my house right now...like im touching and feeling them as we speak....not trying to recollect from when I was 10

the 80's are actually better in most cases

Ok

I'm gonna have to dig mine out in a couple weeks when I'm home.

You pull out the old Brad Goebel jawn?

On a side note...Mitchell and Ness needs to step it up. They've not put out any new ones in awhile. Can I get a Byron Evans or Wes Hopkins or Eric Allen please?

MDS

aint about the touch and feel...its the look

the dodgers jawn dre was wearing was simply not available in 1988

Oh, totally forgot to mention that O'Shea Jr absolutely killed it in terms of mimicking Cube on stage.

I saw Cube at Lollapalooza in 1992 and he hands down blew everyone else off the stage that day.  He was farging phenomenal.

Edit - damn it was 1992.  Good God next year is 25 years.

Pearl Jam was a close second.  There's video of me in the mosh pit when Eddie dove on top of us and crowd surfed to the back of the pit.  Not quite sure what he was on that day but he was hanging from the rafters and diving off speaker towers like a lunatic.
