WEST is GOD

There's actually bigger fights before he becomes Batman than when he does become Batman. When he becomes Batman there's only really one two fights where he beats up multiple guys, and they do it so you can hardly see Batman. Like you just see flashes across the screen and you see guys flopping around. It's all part of the "stay invisible" effect of Batman. There is no HUGE fight though where he fights like 20 guys and you see a ton of kickass action. Also I won't spoil who the "main bad guy" is, but the fight with him is a little bit of a letdown. It lasts only a couple minutes and they are confined to a small space to fight so there's not much cool action going on. The best part about the movie I thought was before he became Batman. A lot of stuff about his past and how he became Batman. That was very cool. No HUGE royal rumble fights in the movie though.

Agreed. I don't know about Cruise in it, but the previews look awesome.

SIN City

Batman Begins was excellent.  :yay I give it  :cfhead :cfhead :cfhead :cfhead out of a possible 5. The storyline is incredible and Christian Bale is by far the best Batman ever. There will definitely be a sequel with a well known villian we all know
The Joker
. As far as comic book to movies goes, I'd rank this second. To me X-Men 1 and 2 were the best, followed by Batman Begins, then the Spiderman series.

MDS

Batman was terrific. A few stupid lines sprinkled around (Katie Holmes walking up to a police man at barracade and saying "excuse me, I'm an ADA. I need to get by." of course it worked), but overall it was great. Added the little setup for a second movie at the end, too.

Bale was great, but Michael Caine frickin ruled as Alfred.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

i saw Katie Holmes on letterman the other day. after her now "fiance" was on. is she smokin the mary jane or is she an airhead. and it looks like she is on the karen carpenter diet, too.

I guess I'm not the only one who thought Bale was great then. He really did a great job. He is a perfect Batman.

Really fun movie.

SIN City

Saw SIN City with my kid already. It was very good. Onto the Smiths .....

Mr & Mrs Smith Rocked! Especially if you've ever been thru a divorce or nasty breakup. Lotta violence, lotsa stunts, great fights, and unexpectedly it was a chucklefest. Great date movie if you want your action, laughs, and a bit of romance. At least two scenes are directly lifted from other great films. There is a scene where the two step out of mayhem into an elevator, and calmly wait as "The Girl from Ipanema" plays on the muzak. That was a scene right out of the original Blues Brothers movie. The other is an update on the ending scene from Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid. Great stuff, but I won't elaborate on that one. Oh yeah, Angelina Jolie is still hot. Plenty o' Pitt is there too for those who are into him. Lotsa partial nude tease, but I imagine the DVD will deliver the goods. Great flick.  :yay
