If Yoda/Dooku makes up for Ep 1, then Maul v. Jinn/Kenobi makes up for Jar Jar Binks and the "disney" feeling to the movie. that fight was awesome.

I know Yoda was all CGI and shtein but still...those fights with him were also awesome.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

All the lightsaber duels are awesome. Can anyone think of a bad one? Even old ass Kenobi vs. the 70's version of Vader was cool to see. One of my biggest complaints is they're too strict with the Sith rule of two. They boxed theirselves in with two bad guys and because that rule was in place they could never have another bad guy/Darkside user for a Jedi to fight against. Plus it's a huge universe, who's to say there isn't some other two people who claim to be Sith Lords. In the EU/cartoons/video games they have dark jedi etc. My one hope with the "Knights of Ren" is they go away from the rule of two.

ep 1 was horrible. ep 2 was a bit better - and yeah that fight scene was a big reason why. ep 3 I liked. not as much as the originals, but enough to separate itself from the garbage of the prior two.

They got progressively better, but at no point were any of them good. Just a very select few moments/scenes that were enjoyable surrounded by steaming hot bantha poop.

The Anakin/Dooku battle just before Yoda was farging terrible. It was almost entirely head shots with lightsabers just sort of spinning around and virtually no actual fighting.

And the Anakin/Obi-Wan fight at the end of Ep 3 was one of the worst choreographed, executed, and shot fight scenes in any movie.

I read AOTC on a flight from Diego to Philly. What's funny about the Anakin/Dooku battle in the book is Anakin gives Dooku a run for his money. Dooku is shocked that a padawan can put up such a fight with him. In the movie it's like you said, a couple head shots and he cuts his arm off and force pushes him on top of Kenobi.

Yeah it was bad. The lava surfing was cringeworthy. The lava planet Mustafar was just horrible. I understand them wanting to go big with that scene because it's the most important moment in Star Wars but they tried too hard. We all knew Kenobi wins and he pushes Anakin into lava turning him into the suited Vader. I always had the duel pictured in my mind like the Luke/Vader scene in ESB...like they were fighting at a base or a factory and there were huge molten lava containers underneath a metal walkway and Vader gets pushed in, Kenobi tries to save him but he can't and Anakin falls in, Kenobi leaves, and Anakin somehow survives. Now obviously there's a big problem with that because no one is falling into molten lava and living but it's Star Wars so they could have thought of something.

Darth Maul should have been such a much bigger part of the prequels. Even just a bigger part of Ep 1 would have been fine, but he probably should have at least been extended to Ep 2 somehow.

Only logical reason I can come up with for him being what really amounts to a minor role is that they didn't want a villain that might outshine Vader.

Maul was in Rebels too. He tried to draw Ezra to the darkside using a Sith holocron. He was old as shtein. Kenobi winds up finishing him off for good.

yeah I forgot about that. I actually liked his story, but hey, lucas thought jarjar was a better character to develop.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.
