Saw Boyhood and really enjoyed it. You kept waiting for some sort of 'hollywood' moment to happen and it never really does. Just a story of a kid growing up. It was pretty weird to see someone age like that before your eyes. Also got a good chuckle out of some of the lines of the movie, knowing when they were written and performed...The dad hating on Bush/the Iraq war, and being a big Obama fan in 2008.

trouble with the curve - i dont even know what this was. it so middling that i didnt know clint eastwood didnt direct it until i checked the imdb midway through the movie. clint sings an unintentionally funny version of "you are my sunshine" and justin timberlake plays an snl character playing the role of a baseball scout. there's some really bad sabr vs. meathead debate and meathead wins in the most ludicrous way possible. 2/5 only because they actively didnt try to make anything other than a 2/5 film.

also i was flipping through hbo and mischief was on one of the channels. before i clicked to it i said "hey maybe they're at the kelly preston nude scene." sure enough its just starting up. amazing timing. just one of times when things work out. i forgot they showed her bush.

locke - awesome character study of a man whose life is falling apart all around him while he is driving in a car...literally the entire 1 hr 25 minutes is him on his phone in a car dealing with his shtein...tom hardy as the only actor in the movie is fantastic...and the writing is superb

Hardy is probably my favorite actor these days.  I'll see most anything he's in.  Went and watched The Drop.  It's good, not great, but solid.

I want to see that more for Gandolfini than Hardy and I agree, he's one of my favorites
