Rome

I figured he partied with Leo DiCaprio & Bradley Cooper or was banging Angelina Jolie on the side.

I hate that guy.

SunMo

i think he's banging dicaprio, actually
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

wall street wolff

felt like scorcese took one look at the script and had no idea what to do with it. it was so long and over-done...drifting between first person narrative and cam footage from 1992 to straight up linear storytelling. movie just didnt know what it wanted to be. marty threw in some cool marty tricks to spice it up. there was a ton of Hoyda in it, so that worked. leo dicap was fine but he didnt feel slimy enough.

the jordan belfort guy was a colossal douche. awful person. the movie didnt mince words with that...but i see him in interviews eating this shtein up. hey look everyone i was drug addicted icehole who farged everyone over and made billions of dollars. wasnt i cool!

NO you werent. all in all not a bad movie just needed a vision and to be 45 minutes shorter.

2.5/5
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

man with the iron fists - i cant recall the last time ive seen a movie this bad....whoever decided to allow a movie to be made from a rza script should never work in hollywood again...the dialogue was laughably awful

spring breakers - one of the more bizarre films ive seen....really cool visually and has a dark appealing score....lots of boobies and ridiculous ass...if bo derek and master p had a son it would be james franco in this movie...its so over the top and ridiculous...just enough to make it a good film except that it always feels like its thinks its way more important and intelligent than it is...its also a movie that is much better while you are watching it than it is after its over and you start thinking about it

5/10

the way way back - cookie cutter coming of age tale that is elevated to a higher status because of an excellent cast...from the writers of  little miss sunshine and it def has the same type feel...also reminded me a lot of meatballs with the lead character basically a modern day version of woody the wabbit

They're remaking Point Break with Gerard Butler as Bodhi. Worst idea ever.

Sgt PSN

First Red Dawn and now this?  I think it should be a law that any movie with Patrick Swayze can never be remade because it's impossible to duplicate the perfect balance of awesome and awful in practically every single one of his movies.

General_Failure

I hear they're remaking Road House with Adam Sandler and a Starbucks.

The man. The myth. The legend.

Lone Survivor - Not bad. Pretty good Navy Seal mission flick. Lots of action. I want to have man babies with Tim Riggins.
Spoiler: Only one person survives.

American Hustle - It was OK but forgettable. Not sure if it's up for any awards this year, it shouldn't be, but I guess it's still worth a watch. (Actually I just checked and I guess its the front runner for best picture right now. No.) Amy Adams is way hotter than normal. Bradley cooper is really good in it, plays one of the most pathetic characters I've seen in a long time. He'll probably be up for an Oscar. Anyway it's a OK movie but definitely nothing special or even one of the best this year. Also could have used some tits.

August: Osage County - I thought it was great. I'm a big fan of dysfunctional family dramas, so might not be everyone's cup of tea, but these bitches be crazy. Acting was great. Meryl Streep was amazing...maybe one of her best ever. As someone who knows what pill heads act like, she farging nailed it. I've had a crush on Julia Roberts since I was a little kid and she was awesome too...has barely aged in 20 years. Overall it's depressing and funny and real and just a great movie.

SD

Lone Survivor was pretty good. The story is incredible.

ice grillin you

lone survivor - id seen the story told on 60 minutes and a few other places...DO NOT DO THIS IF YOU ARE GOING TO SEE THE MOVIE...i only saw the movie cause my girl wanted to and knowing the story made the movie boring and long...plus you have watch bad acting from marky mark taylor swift and anal hirsh for two hours as they try to convince you they are navy seals....ben foster acted circles around all those hacks....i suggest just youtubing the different marcus lutrell interviews and specials or read the book (altho i heard it was pretty bad)

i don't get the love for american hustle. i went into it wanting to love it but thought it was pretty generic and kind of boring. i could watch silver linings playbook on a loop for the rest of my life and be happy but i was very disappointed by this one. bradley cooper killed it though, he deserves an award. the rest of it was meh.

also i havent seen all of the films yet but i can't imagine anyone beating meryl streep. she was amazing in osage county. julia roberts too.
