Perhaps my expectations were lowered for this movie because I had been reading that it doesn't matchup well with TDK etc, but I loved it.

The Dark Knight was going to be tough to top. Not that It was an amazing piece of cinema history, more that it was the best you're going to get out of these particular Batman movies.

i generally hate comic book/superhero shtein and i thought the dark knight was amazing

its replay value is about as high as it gets for a movie

only thing preventing it from being on a best of list is christian bales voice in it

no doubt about it.  i watched Batman Begins and TDK this week because I hadn't seen either in a few years and TDK is such a good movie.  I'd recommend watching Begins before this movie if anyone hasn't seen it in a while.

BTW - if you hate Bale's voice as Batman, Bane's voice is probably going to make you shove your head through a wall.  I didn't mind it as much as some people did apparently but I could see it getting really annoying.

The Batvoice didn't bother me nearly as much as the ten thousand cuts during each fight scene. I get that not everyone is great at stage fighting, but that shtein shouldn't be farged up in an action movie.
