Anyone seen a good movie lately?

Watched Daybreakers last night. It was completely meh. I actually enjoyed the story but Sam Neill and Willem Dafoe have gotten worse and worse as actors as they've gotten older. The special effects were brutal at times and some of the dialog was atrocious. But it was a vampire movie for chist's sake, and seen through those eyes it was enjoyable enough to kill a few hours on.

A Serious Man:

I liked the movie up until the ending. I haven't decided if I liked the ending yet or not. It was definitely interesting enough, and had me thinking. Pretty farging depressing movie though, and the Sy guy was creepy as hell. Also Larry David's weirdo cousin from Curb was in the movie.

Ninja Assassin - some good gore and action. def not up to tier with martial arts flicks going on overseas. laughable story and dialog. meh whatever - I got a 2/5 only because the decapitations.

When was the last time Sam Neill was in a movie worth mentioning?  Watched that last night, agree completely.

Moon - really cool little sci fi movie starrring Sam Rockwell, who was great as usual.  kevin spacey is the voice of the robot and it sounds creepy.  good story and it kept my attention.

Aww, it could be good. Maybe this time they'll have a robot with buck teeth doing a terrible Chinese accent. He could leave his turn signal on the entire movie!

Speaking of, I finally watched Revenge of the Fallen this week. What an incomprehensible mess. None of it made any sense and the action scenes, which were cool at first, ended up being interminable and siezure-inducing. At no point could I tell what was going on, only that shtein was blowing up. Like I said, at first it was cool, but jesus it just never ended.

Also watched The Happening last night. Holy shtein, Shyamalan. The story was actually interesting and had potential but the dialog was so bad that it literally had to be written as intentionally awful. You can't accidentally write a 2 hour movie where every single lineof dialog is worse than the last. It isn't possible. This had to be a joke.

Pirate Radio - Pretty much what I expected, decent flick with lots of awesome music.  Worth a watch if you love 60's rock music.

Just re-watched Drag Me to Hell and re-loved it. The Sam Raimi goofiness is a lot of fun and the vomit gags had me rolling all over again.

Village of the Damned-  makes me think Christopher Reeve got what he deserved
