So some crazy Asian and Junior....Tony thinks about killing Paulie....Paulie realizes his time is about up....and....yea.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Man, IGY, I don't think I've ever met someone who is just so miserable with everything. Does ANYTHING make you happy?  :-D

I'll usually jump on IGY's nuts for his bombastic opinions but in this case he's right.  The Sopranos has been pretty lousy during the past several seasons.  The first two seasons are possibly the best individual seasons of television in the history of the medium but it has definitely gone downhill since then.

When the show first started there was a tiny shred of humanity in the characters.  Yeah, they were violent, sexist, racist and sociopathic killers but they were also human.  Now it's as if everyone is just flat-out evil.  They made a huge mistake screwing around with the Carmella/Tony dynamic and they've steadily reduced Melfi's character (who was the moral center of the show in the beginning) to nothing more than a cameo footnote most weeks.

I know it's nearly impossible to retain the same level of quality that the show exhibited those first two seasons and there has been some excellent episodes otherwise but overall the show has lost me as a regular viewer.  It's almost as if David Chase hates the characters, hates the audience for watching the show and is bound and determined to make everyone involved suffer for it.

Wow, considering last week's episode, that tirade was a little off-base, no? Sure, this one wasn't as good as the last one, but it wasn't total garbage either.

Complaining about the quality of The Sopranos now is like complaining about a poor vintage of Dom Perignon.  Even at its worst it's still one of the best shows on television.

Unfortunately for me as a viewer and a fan the quality has deteriorated over the years where it's now a show I'll watch occasionally as opposed to one I would look forward to each week.

Again... not "bad" but certainly not in the same league as it once was.

i agree with this....but being one of the best shows on television is being the tallest midget...prime time tv is unwatchable

my biggest problem with the sopranos is that nothing ever happens so you feel cheated...id almost rather the show completely suck so i could just never watch it again...however the acting is still top notch and the writing is good too....its just that the storylines are just so damn boring

i don't usually agree with IGY about this, but i felt the same way.  having another Junior based episode that didn't end up with him dead is just a waste in my opinion.

i'm glad there is less Melfi, her role has been tired for the past few years.
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

I was thinking the same thing during the episode.

Do you put on the fishnet stockings before or after the large quantities of alcohol?

I'm shocked none of the vocal rights groups have condemned HBO for showing that last night.

The show was disappointing last night.
