It's the third year of it, I think. This year it has really exploded in terms of both deals and leaks. The NFL will probably have to do something about it.

The real stupid part is that there's a bunch of things you can't do during the tampering period that you can do in free agency. Like actually meet the guy, show him around your facilities, or make offers (although clearly there's been significant backslide on that last one).

i guess it doesnt matter, really. i mean shady is traded/maxwell is signed....who cares of its unofficial today and official tuesday.

to me it makes more sense to wait 2-3 weeks so you get 2 different news cycles out of the move. the nfl at this point is all about dominating the headlines 365 days out of the year AND trying to conquer the world. and they are doing a decent job of it.

it doesnt matter at all....free agency started today...who cares when they sign the piece of paper

That team figures to be wildly different (and worse) next year. The end came fast for Willis, who I expected to resume building his Hall of Fame career in the fall.
