Pretty funny story over the weekend was Chad Ford getting caught going back and editing his old NBA draft boards, years later. ESPN said they have no way of knowing who was doing it and that they believe Ford, but c'mon, who else would be changing that?

It's just one of those stories I hope is true because it's so petty and pathetic.

Deadspin had a story up that ESPN's software for those drafts is so outdated and bad that they actually can't see who made the edits. Disappointing because I know it was Ford and him getting busted would be hilarious, but still kinda funny because it's a huge national media organization with deep Disney pockets that doesn't have good controls over who is publishing content there.

im guessing ESPN is on a more complicated publishing software than they one we used in texas, but that one essentially enables anybody to change anything, though all edits are logged (at least the most recent one was).

the thing was we all used the same log in because....well who cares. anyway its possible for a variety of IT reasons a bunch of espn.com people use the same log in. or maybe espn knows who did it and they dont want to say because this thing is embarrassing and they want it to just go away, which it will.
