I have zero desire to see it regardless....for about twenty years clint eastwood movies are so cookie cutter boring sunday night tv movie of the week shtein...plus after what that pos did at the republican convention he gets no money from me

oh i just walk into movies, i dont pay....try it sometime. if you are white you can pretty much do whatever you want.

anyway its tough to separate the two, but the film was more about the man himself more so than about whether or not we should have been in iraq, or what we were doing there. the dude was about his people, as are a lot of military folks.

Clint Eastwood is a legend

Kyle said he punched a scruffy guy in the face in his book 'American Sniper'. Then he went onto O'reilly's show and identified the guy as Jessie Ventura. He said Ventura was bad mouthing SEALS at a memorial service for a fallen SEAL who was also a Medal of Honor recipient. Ventura sued and won a defamation lawsuit. Payout was roughly $1.5 million.

Kyle had 165 confirmed kills. Estimates of 250+ kills. He was also a legend.

The sad thing about Eastwood is this nauseating piece of right wing propaganda is going to be his crowning achievement.  He's always been a maverick politically, but he's turned into precisely the sort of ridiculous caricature he spent years lampooning in several different film genres.

I haven't seen the film yet but I'd be careful with a blanket label for the movie.   The Fox crew are morons - them blowing it up into a propaganda film doesn't mean that's what it is or was intended to be.  Eastwood was anti-Iraq War so I find it hard to believe it's fully pro war.

Unbroken was ok. Wouldn't recommend

Only made it through 30 minutes of Selma. Reminded me of Lincoln in that it was a historical time piece that took a small segment of a larger story. Was equally boring.
