Started watching Edge of Tomorrow last night but it didn't hold my interest

I thought Edge of Tomorrow was as good as it gets for a summer action movie.

Pacific Rim was much better than Godzilla if you're in the market for giant monster things fighting (shut up).

I'm pretty sick of the remakes and I don't see the need for this one. That said, McCarthy's act is played out, but all of them have the potential to be funny. If they're going to do this thing for some reason, at least make it funny.
