in retrospect, of course. the phillies didnt win after 2008 so everything they did was "wrong."

but again roob did everything he could to win another title....moves you and everyone endorsed....he gave charlie a stacked deck and they couldnt do it in 09 10 and 11. thats all 100% of charlie, hamels, utley, howard and jimmy. 12 was the beginning of the end. 13 and 14 were denial years.

if your heroes played better in 09, 10 and 11 and they had 3 titles, nobody would care about the name mike arbuckle.

that move was awful, no doubt. it was 1000% roob....had nothing to do with money. he thought he was being smart by restocking the farm....instead he brings in 3 players who suck and then goes out and trades for oswalt 6 months later. a historic awful move.

im not really defending him. if you want to prop him up as the scapegoat, by all means do it. BUT keep in mind the phillies organization is a catastrophe (always has been). what if roob was really forced to sign choke by monty? what if roob thought wolever was incompetent but couldnt fire him because monty wouldnt let him?

roob is a moron and deserves to die, but the blame % on him is far less than most want to believe

no...just that he did quite well in those years. IF the players hadnt choked, amaro is a wall of fame legend who gets a free pass for what is going on now.

Yes on all counts.  I can live with 2010, even 2009 to an extent as when you're wheeling Pedro Martinez out there in game 6 as your best bet and your ace from the prior year decided to grow a vagina you're pretty much farged but 2011 will burn inside for a long, long time.
