Galvis will be hitting .062 and mds will defend him

you think the eagles are winning the super bowl this year.....i want to give someone with no extended playing time in MLB a chance to play on a horrible team going nowhere

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Eagles in the playoffs = a chance

Galvis playing short is fine -- better than Furcal

let me put it this way

galvis had a better shot of developing into an everyday 2B than the eagles do of winning the super bowl

i have little faith in the eagles as you know....but freddie galvis has negative % chance to be a legit everyday 2b and its not even a close comparison...unless you are saying freddie galvis will start at second base everyday for the phillies

@975TheFanatic: Ruben Amaro w/ Mikey Miss on Ryan Howard -"It would probably be better for the organization to move forward not with him, but without him."

Hard hitting mike miss

Made lil guy wet tho I bet

SD

He also said grit is coming back. Made it seem like he wants to end his career as a Phillie where as Jimmy wanted one more chance at a title. Can't blame either player but I'd rather part with Utley while he still has some value.

different situations

rollins wants to play beyond his current contract and is not moving from SS. jp is coming, and coming fast. the phillies wanted to do it now so they could get something for him. pure business move. jimmy wanted to win another title, LA had a hole at SS...it just made sense. plus he had a tradeable contract.

utley does not. his knees dont work, his production had beyond declined. he plays a premium position not everyone needs. he's a much tougher guy to trade. but if the right deal comes up, they and he will do it. odds are it wont.

victorino was a rule 5 guy unwanted by the dodgers twice and the phillies once....you never know with guys. baseball takes minimal athletic ability. its a much harder sport to judge talent on. its very easy to say "player x" will suck because player x generally sucks...mostly everyone fails at being good at baseball.

do i expect galvis to be good? no. do i expect him to be a major leaguer? no. does he have a great glove? yes. does he have some semblance of pop in his steroid? sure. do they have anything to lose by giving him extended at bats? NO.
