Why make him suffer through more of the same?

He's earned one last shot.   Think Daulton.

rollins always controlled when he was going to be moved. it wasnt going to happen before he got the hit record and waiting until next season's trade deadline doesnt guarantee you anything better in return.
If guns kill people then spoons made Rosie O'Donnel a fatass.

I'm happy for him to be out of this cesspool of a franchise, but I still hate seeing him go....especially since he has such little trade value.

If Jimmy asked to be traded to a contender, that's cool. But I think that if he was traded as part of a rebuild, then it's a pointless move since they likely aren't getting legit talent in return.

I saw someone say that Jimmy said other than the Doyers he would have only accepted a deal to the Yanks.

So I doubt he asked for the trade - he said he wanted to stay in Philly.

Rome

Yeah, he's lying.  He wanted out of there because no one, much less someone like Rollins, wants to play for a dreadful team that's out of it before the first frost hits the pumpkin in the offseason.

no he didnt...thats why he's gone. he said OK to the deal. the phillies have asked him before and he said no. for whatever reason, he changed his mind.

just be happy for jimmy that he has a chance to win now. even if it means rooting for a team with a fan base made up exclusively of vato gang members
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Rome

pretty sure chuggie's given up the gang life now that he's found scientology.

QuoteThe Phillies offered the Orioles Ryan Howard in a package with Marlon Byrd, according to Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports.
That matches up with an earlier tweet from Andy Martino of the New York Daily News saying the two sides had talked about Howard. The Orioles balked at the offer, likely due to Howard's inclusion. The Phils owe Howard $50 million over the next two seasons and would presumably like to unload that contract if at all possible. Whether they'll find any takers remains in question.

its downright comical

QB Eagles

It's like the Phils are trying to slip a mickey to their trade partners.

Speaking of the Astros

They're interested in Hamels

Munson

Yeah but they're not giving up George Springer for him, so who cares.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds
