What else are they going to spend money on the next 5 years? Not like they have a bunch of their own free agents that are must signs. Don't see the downside to this

i personally wouldnt give out any big or long term deals to anyone for at least two years

but if i was i certainly wouldnt give 80 to 100 mil to an unproven player who people arent very high on

if this was a puig or cespesdes type cuban prospect then ok ill do it...or as I said if this is minimal money and you wanna take a shot like they did on gonzo for 10-20 mil then fine whatever go for it
