farg this team.

they cant compete dollar for dollar with the yankees, red sox and doyers. they didnt spend 75 million on a unknown cuban with limited power and questionable talent. boo farging hoo.

i dont understand the "phillies are cheap" comments. they spend 16 million on aj burnett 2 seconds before the season because they were desperate for a mediocre pitcher. they're stupid, not cheap.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

ice grillin you

the difference btwn the phillies and the red sox isnt money its that adrian gonzalez josh becket and carl crawford are on the dodgers and cliff lee chase utley and marlon byrd are on the phillies

They can't compete dollar for dollar with the Red Sox financially but they have a larger payroll outlay.

Got it.

they have the larger payroll because the red sox are run by competent people that dont throw money at everyone who helped them win one measly world series....in fact after the gonzo, crawford, beckett debacle the sox actively stopped trying to have a humongous payroll.

what do you want the phillies to do? sign more high priced veterans and have a 250 million payroll? do you want 83 wins that badly?

sox had the third highest payroll last year when they won the series and the highest in the major leagues below the tax

the sox are almost always going to win out over the phillies in a head to head....at the same time they both spend way more than enough to win...money is not the deciding factor as to who is going to be a better team in any given year....its competency in the scouting dept front office and ownership

also a lot of the reason the phillies cant compete with the sox for players is because the phillies are seen as a joke of an organization both here and internationally while the sox are revered

the phillies spin on losing him is all along they were really interested in the 23 year old cuban corner outfielder with power. hes going to go on the market in the winter.

im sure he wants to play for this team.
