I don't even think a Philly team has ever collapsed this badly.

Their downfall from best in the league to now is amazing.

I mean...even the tolerant middle American fan base are lighting these clowns up. One dude was getting on George and the announcers mics were picking it up.

i dont think the collapse is the worst ever from a talent standpoint because i dont ever think they were the best team in the east much lesss the nba like their record stated....but from an off the court persepctive i dont think theres ever been a locker room implosion like this one

also philly teams dont really collapse because they are never good enough to collapse...for the most part when philly has a really good team they generally advance pretty far in their respective league they just cant ever win the big one...however its usually because they end up facing a superior team in their respective final or they suffered a key injury or two

The only Philly team that comes to mind is the 2002 Flyers, but those guys weren't favored to win the Cup (and they weren't even one of the 5 best teams that year).  They led for most of the season, finished 2-7-1, then scored 2 goals in 5 games against Ottawa

thing is he really does love the team and the attention that comes with sitting courtside at every home game and owning them....so in a way its the ultimate punishment....after 30 years of being complete dogshtein they finally become the lakers and he cant go see them anymore
