Avant catches everything but game winning touchdowns and gets negative yac.  But he's a first down machine in the slot. 

Can Cooper play the slot?  Is the slot WR worth much at all to Kelly?  Celek and Ertz have eaten up some of the slot looks. 

What is your lineup if the Eagles retain Maclin and Cooper both, and draft a WR?

again gotta wait to see kkkoopers contract because that will tell a lot...but I gotta think chances are if mack and him both come back that wr will not be a high priority so i wouldn't count on a draft pick contributing much next year

i know know both have baggage....but they also are potential free agents....i cant see both coming back at basement prices

I would have preferred they re-signed Maclin and drafted a bigger receiver but Cooper is fine as a #3 option and he has a nice chemistry with Foles. Maclin is a legit #2 receiver, assuming he comes back healthy. It's one less position they have to address in the draft. If they sign a Safety they can concentrate on taking the bpa. And I'm interested to see the numbers he'll be receiving.

yeah i really don't understand why anyone wants a receiver picked in the first round anyway, regardless of these two. if maclin comes back, this is way down on my priority list.

my theory is that they are five years away from building a championship defense....if they ever can do it

where as if you believe chipper and foles are for real then they are a stud #1 wr away from maybe being able to outscore teams on the way to the superbowl next year

if your franchise is currently defined by an offensive genius head coach and a young qb then i put the offense next level

fair enough.  i think his re-signing is a good one simply because i think he's a good player who earned the extension.  i also think they're going to address the lack of a true #1 receiver at some point by getting a bigger 1-a to go with desean, so this signing, if it happens, is really just the birds locking up one of their own younger guys.   either way i don't have a problem with it.

i seriously can't root for the guy and would rather him not be here. i mean i'll cheer when he scores but will say farg cooper immediately after. and yeah that new orleans drop. ugh.

i have no problem cheering for the guy because he played hard and took whatever shtein he had coming to him from his teammates and opponents.

he's getting a new deal and i hope he's productive in the same way i hoped vick was productive when he got his new deal.
