If the city of Philadelphia all of a sudden ceased to exist (Good riddance Phillies)...and the Eagles and all of its history were no more....what team would you follow and why?

I narrowed my choices down to two teams:

Buffalo and Chicago (it would come down to a coin flip).

Why? Uniforms, fanbase, and have the ability to bring as much disappointment into my life as the Eagles do if not more. I also hate most other teams and disgusted by the rest. And I hate myself a little.

Your turn. You know you want to answer.

I'm torn.  The lefty in me is eyeballing Green Bay, since they aren't owned by some billionaire douchebag, but rather by the fans themselves.  But I don't much care for the region.  It's alright I guess, but I prefer saltier, smarter people and the fanbase, while rabid, is pretty idiotic with their hats and their milk-based diet.

Detroit or Buffalo.  I love the cold, and the underdog, and the downtrodden cities that everyone likes to hate on.  I'd probably go with Buffalo..they are closer to my yankee people.

i'd probably stick to college sports. probably didn't watch more than 2-3 non-eagles games all year. definitely can not sit through a non-phillies baseball game unless i'm at a game live. nba i would probably go OKC, have just had a craush on that team for years. hockey, meh.

i can watch college basketball all day long regardless of who the teams are. same with football.

same here as far as rooting for college sports.  I really don't think I could give two shteins about another pro football team.   Hockey seems to be one of those sports like the NFL for me, i'll have teams to root against, but not one to root for.

what does philly having an nfl team have to do with cfb.....as it stands right now cfb is by far the best sport on the planet....or are you saying theres not enough time to dedicate to both and if the eagles left youd follow cfb and not the nfl...which makes sense because cfb is so much better but i also love the nfl

College FB was never paramount in our house growing up, where as pro sports were.  Basically the opposite of folks down south.

Exactly.  We watched zero college sports growing up.  A bit of UCONN basketball, but that was it.

This thread has nothing to do with college sports though, so farg you all properly for derailing us from our off season fantasizing about an NFL without the Eagles.

QB Eagles

Bills and Lions? Philly fans truly are full of self-hatred. What's the matter... Jaguars future looking too good to ride with Gus?

I'd like to cut Florida off the continent and kick it out to sea.  So farg Jacksonville.

Sherman was going to go there after Savannah, but decided it was much more demoralizing to leave it standing.
