lol...just trying to be real kiddo

to his credit hes tailoring his swing for the park and hitting the ball hard. theyre not pop ups that are homers (a choke special) they are shots that are doubles that are clearing the wall because cbp is a joke.

the part i wanna see next is how he responds to being pitched around more. right now hes getting attacked, hes getting fastballs. will he get more selective, and actually walk, when that comes? or will he delmon young it and swing at every pitch thrown to him?

p.s. i feel bad for cole and cliff. 2 pitchers in their prime pitching well for a putrid team. cole hamels is getting paid 25 mil a year so cesar hernandez can make rookie mistakes and so delmon young can limp around the outfield. that makes sense.

Hamels is god awful this year, but he was great from 2010-2012. His highest ERA those three years was 3.06. His WHIP was the lowest in the league in 2011, he wasn't allowing baserunners, he was K'ing people at a high rate. He finished 5th in cy young voting in '11 and 8th last year. Saying he was 'ok' is a massive misstatement.
