Barkley in the first was my fear.  I figured they'd trade back, and get him in the later part of the first.  In the 4th, how can anyone complain. Kid has skills, last year he was considered one of the top 3 guys in the country.  USC qb's need to just realize staying for that senior year doesnt pay off.

you could also say that the league needs to realize that usc qb's suck....or maybe they finally have and thats why he fell

True...  All in all, i'm excited to see where this goes from here.  Which is more than I would have been saying if Andy was still here.

I'll throw this question out there:

Regardless of round etc. Let's say you could take any QB from the last draft, which QB do you take?

geno smith
Me too. He could be special. Obviously the Jets will screw him up, but with the right organization, who knows?

I wouldn't be super excited about taking any of them, but Barkley is about as good of a prospect of any of them. Not sure that's saying a lot.

Geno Smith seems like a childlike headcase, at least to this point. I'm glad the Eagles didn't take him.

Geno Smith was my #1 ranked, I really liked Nassib if chipper was running the same offense as he did in college.

Geno would have been my #1 pre draft. Maybe he turns out alright, but the post draft firing of his agents and sulking reminds me of Donovan with less talent.

I won't lie I'm waiting for igs to weigh in on this.

Honestly, I would have taken Barkley.

After years of having the athletic, running QB with questionable accuracy... I'm ready for the accurate, cerebral QB who can read defenses and pick a defense apart from the pocket. For the most part, those are the QB's winning Super Bowls. Barkley is best suited to do that, IMO.

The fact that they only spent a 4th for that kind of potnential is a big win in my eyes.

its a 4th round pick...the odds of a 4th round pick being a significant contribution on any team--good drafting ones even--are slim

they took a chance on a guy with talent who maybe might be a legit nfl qb. its worth a risk considering finding franchise qbs isnt exactly easy.

remember joe flacco was a later pick. he sucked for a while sure, but he just won a super bowl. you never know.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Are we (you guys) still talking about this?
