i dont buy all this mingo talk...usually when something is leaking out this much 24 hours before a draft its all a smokescreen...why would howie go to baldinger or anyone else and tell them mingo is their guy if it was true....sounds to me like maybe chip covets his boy dion and they are trying to downplay him in the hopes that gus or the raiders or another team trading up doesnt take him

Has anyone else seen this corny ass mock-draft-role-playing-exercise ESPN did today with Trey Wingo, Mangini and a couple other dudes whose names escape me?  They went through the draft order pretending that they were each respective team's war room and put themselves on the clock.  They talked about needs with each person kind of arguing for this guy or that.  Then they'd get a fake phone call with some sort of trade offer that they'd talk about and then make a fake call back to either accept or deny the proposal.  It may have been the worst thing ESPN has ever put on the air.
I remember seeing it last year. If that channel didn't have Baseball Tonight I would cancel my cable just so I would never accidentally watch something on ESPN again.

Sgt PSN

So they not only did they do it before, but they also received enough positive feedback to do it again?

I really didn't think it would be possible for me to hate anything sports related as much as I hate EPSN.  Feva needs to work his ass up the totem pole and fix this shtein, pronto.

Rome

Or maybe Feva's actually responsible for that shtein and needs to be fired?

Either way.

It's probably Feva's goddamn fault.

All of this with Mingo/Manuel/Smith and whoever else is just posturing. I'm sure they have a deal in place to move back, now they're trying to get someone else to up the ante.

Eagles_Legendz

trade back a few slots, pick up a few picks, draft warmack, profit.

I didn't see the mock war room shtein (thank god) but several years ago they did the same thing kind of with Steve Phillips on Baseball Tonight and it was embarrassingly awful.

Espn is full of shtein and zesty ideas.

General_Failure

Hey, come on now. That dramatic show about a football team was good, right?

The man. The myth. The legend.

Seeing some rumors the Chiefs are seriously considering taking Fisher #1 overall

i know everything points to the chiefs taking a tackle...and it also would follow the best player available rule but i dont understand the pick...none of these tackles grade out as elite and the chiefs already have a very good tackle in albert...i would be so mad if i was a kc fan this year having the #1 pick for the first time ever in a year with no HOF prospects at the top and the best players that are there would be a lateral move for your franchise

fwiw jaws said yesterday that he thinks if theres a qb andy likes that he will take him number one....said andy knows that position is the most important in sports and that he could take geno or nassib and let them learn for a year or two behind alex smith

If the Chiefs took a QB first the entertainment factor would be awesome.

Rome

I'd just like to take this opportunity to express how happy I am that Reid is gone.

what i would love more than anything is if andy misses his pick somehow.
